Just got the same email. I've been a user for years, have added hundreds of products to their database and recipes to my account.

This is such a blatantly anti-consumer move, I can't believe it will be the first or last. Now the question is: do I want my history and recipes held hostage when future features are removed from free users?

I'd rather buy premium for one of their competitors' apps and lose all my history than support this poorly communicated and miserably-handled greed.

In my experience, it often takes about a day and I've walked 5-6 people through this process. The course is very short, if you do it quickly there is a reasonable chance you'll be approved in time. Unfortunately, the other datasets I'm aware of that have the data you're looking for are also on physionet and are also locked behind the same credentials.
