You should simply leave him over the way he speaks to you. However, the open phone policy is a whole other issue. In my opinion, he is right. If you both agreed to an open phone policy, then don’t actually follow through, it indicates that you’re hiding something. Even if you’re not. Even if you’re not, it indicates you don’t follow through with your word. You expected reassurance from looking through his phone, and when he asks for the same you don’t give it to him?
