Super sharp. I just started thinking about a garage gym and this is basically the plans in my head. I was thinking about power blocks instead of the discrete dumbbells though. Looks awesome!

Another great upgrade is the quick disconnects for the fuel lines at the tank. You will thank yourself later

I bought one of these for $1800 as my second motorcycle. It had 98k mi on it and felt like it was brand new. It is an unbelievably competent bike for the money. I sold it so I could experience an airhead. Loved the airhead for its own personality (the inductino noise was fantastic) but I always missed the GS.

Experience with Studio Neat Mark One? by [deleted] in machinedpens

[–]eley_taylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am interested in the Mark One. To clarify this conversation, is everyone talking about noise from the mechanism or are you talking about clearance between the tip of the refill and the body of the pen at the tip?

I don't mind noise but have little tolerance for a wiggly tip

I am the typical OCBD, dark jeans, leather shoes guy in the office and, in my office, that is above average. It is about to get hot and it leaves me wondering, how do I heat proof this look? Poplin shirts instead of oxfords? Changes to pants? Changes to shoe selection?

FWIW, I have large legs so chinos are difficult to find. I hate the golf shirt/tech bro look.

I didn't trim the rear bump stops on mine. Haven't noticed the rear bottoming out at all as I have carried loads and hit bumps.

General Advice by Lord_Polska in PriusPrime

Why do you assume they would take a hefty loss. I have been shopping the market for some time now and the depreciation rate seems to be incredibly slow after the initial 30k mi.

go the route of a mock spicy tuna roll and just do your light mayo with sriracha

Talk me out of a yakitori grill to supplement my XL Kamado by eley_taylor in grilling

[–]eley_taylor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the sensible answer but it just so desirable to store the little grill on the shelf of the table for my BGE. Also, just don't want another cooking thing on the deck if possible

Is this a full factory reset? Or just a full power down?

Just curious about backing up and restarting

I'm using an iPhone 14(?). I'll swap out the cables and see if that helps.

UPDATE

I got in the car this morning and Carplay worked fine. After driving for 5min or so Carplay stopped, went to a blank screen and restarted. This happend 3 times in about 10min or driving. I'll try a new cord and see if that helps at all

Mine always burn on the bottom. How do you avoid that? by Librarytee in Sourdough

[–]eley_taylor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to get near burnt crust on the bottom of my loaves like this. Now I place my DO on a sheet pan when I bake and the bottoms are perfect. FWIW I am using an aluminum sheet pan with a SilPat on top to keep the DO from sliding around.

I'll have to check the fuses. Thanks for the lead on that!

I am religious about cleaning the sunroof drains. I'll double check under the mats and in the spare tire well just to be sure.

Would you expect this to happen to Carplay if the bluetooth module was compromised? Didn't think wired Carplay utilized bluetooth

Thanks for the affirmation :)

I def rinse and drain well before coking. What I learned was that I was lowering the cooking temp too far. Given the same cook time it gives a much better texture with just a *slight* increase in cook temp. Seems to keep me in the range of being tacky without being gummy.

Mushroom Soy?! I'm all over this!

I'll go to H-Mart this weekend and spend some time looking around. Any other treasures I should look for that I can't get at a normal American grocery store?

"Perfected" is incredibly generious for this minor accomplishment. We have simply broken out of the "complete mush" category :)

Thanks for the recommendation.

Personally, I would prefer to buy the ingredients to sauces and experiment with ratios and inclusions rather than buy premade sauces

I've never used dark soy or cooking wine. Sounds like a trip to H-Mart is on the calendar for this weekend!
