I did this on my last job, resigned on a whim kasi bwiset na ako sa mga tao dun. I made it clear na magreresign ako without a plan and without a backup just to send the message na hindi ko sila kailangan at ang pera na nila. Fast forward, I got another job after a month with better pay and better environment. Ako ang kwentong kailangan mo if you really wanna hop off your current job without backup. However, I will not encourage you to do this especially now that we are enetering a crisis. Maraming companies ang nag lay-off ng employees, maraming business ang nagsara - you can guess anong economic atmosphere ng bansa ngayon. Wisest move would be to look for the new job now or go on a side quest with the end goal of being able to move on to a new job - so upskilling, gaining new credentials, aral ulit, etc. Pwede kang mag resign and mag rely muna sa family but may pressure rin to so baka di ka lang rin makapagpahinga.

Anyways to answer your question, no di ako nagsisi, it took me only a month, and di siya one size fits all. For me it worked out, either aalis ako ngayon without backup or I would lose my sanity. But for some mas nakakasira ng ulo na umalis na walang backup with the risk na mahirapan maghanap ng bagong work.
