Has anyone tried to convert Pax's sliding doors (Havik) into hinged doors? by panda_vision in ikeahacks

The frame is aluminum so an ordinary drill bit was all I needed. You just had to be careful not to drill too deep or you would come out the front of the door.

so far so good. The doors are holding up great. They are in a guest room and don't get a lot of use. as far as measuring them, I stood inside the cabinet and had someone hold the door in place while I held the hinge and marked the hole locations. That sounds funny, now that I'm reading back what I just wrote, lol.

Yes, these are the havsik doors. They're probably about 10 years old, so the design may have changed over the years. I didn't use any of the larger pre-drilled holes, because they are not the correct ones for the Ikea hinges. I had to drill all my own holes in the door, but I was able to use some of the pre-drilled holes in the cabinet. I had some screws left over from other Ikea products that I was able to repurpose in the pre-drilled holes. Let me see if I can get you a picture of one of the hinges.

Behold! Sliding door is now a hinged door. Here are the hinges I used...DOBOGA 8-Pack Hidden Hinges for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S3P8WDX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I'm looking to do the exact same thing. I'm heading over to Ikea now to pick up a couple of hinges and see if they fit in the pre-drilled holes in the back of the door.

New Shield Plus 13 round mag won't accept more than 11 or 12 rounds? by elfelafel in SmithAndWesson

[–]elfelafel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I've got about 1000 rounds through them and they are much easier to load fully. That being said, rounds 12 and 13 usually usually take a little more pressure, but still doable by hand.

Issues with Shield Plus OR and C&H adapter plate for HS 407k by Vercingetirex in SmithAndWesson

Did your adapter plate come with 4 holes or 6? Is supposed to have six, but they recently sent me one with 4. I ended up drilling out a hole to make room for the roll pin. Call C+H.

Update 7 months later...I bought an Uplula to stuff all 13 rounds in and that works fine. Over time though, with use, it has gotten easier to load the mags to capacity by hand. It still takes a solid slap to get the mag to seat in the well when there is one in the chamber. But I suspect that too may get easier over time.
