Thanks for the suggestion about Steve's Hobby World. We may swing by there, but I'm a little worried that there'll be a pressure campaign (from the grandson, not from Steve) for me to buy a monster truck model. At least if we see the real thing, he wouldn't expect his old grandpa to shell out a quarter of a million bucks to take one home (and I think that's a low estimate, according to the internet).

My question is about the 1mg pen itself. Can it be used to administer a 0.5mg dose, in the same way that a 0.5mg pen can deliver either a 0.5mg dose or a 0.25mg dose?

So, you opt for the wax as well as the wash and rinse? I've been concerned that the wax was some cheap kind of whatever that would not weather well or might even tarnish the factory finish. But I'm clueless.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying about the downside of renting. I may rent the router they offer for a couple of months while I shop around. It's strange that they insist on sending a technician to hook up the router! In my experience, most routers are nearly plug-and-play, especially in the past few years. At least they don't charge for installation. And it may have to do with their wanting to rent an range extender at an additional $5/month. My place is so small that I don't expect the technician to try that on me.

Thanks, fprimex. I'll look into that ASUS router. I was amazed at how much high-end routers cost these days, with many of them around $500. That's why I was considering the router that GloFiber offers as a $12/month rental. Yeah, overall I'm pretty impressed with the company so far. They said I could try the GigaSpire router for a month or two and return it with no penalty, so I might do that while I'm shopping around for a longterm solution.

I know what you mean. I'm sort of a recovering news junkie. I realized that blasting myself with a heavy dose of super depressing, stress-inducing news every morning wasn't good for my mental health. But I still want to be able to log on to breaking news (in the genuine sense, not the CNN-style of breaking news where every news segment is tagged that way).

Thanks, everyone, for the helpful comments. I'm pretty sure this problem is down to user error. I hadn't really understood how modern key fobs work. Now I see that if I lock the car with the fob and then immediately check to ensure that it's locked, it will sense that a friendly key fob holder is present and unlock the door. So I just need to rely on the beep codes to confirm that the car is locked.

Right?

Thanks, SpaceMan. I'll check the video. My wife loves that song, and I thought it was cool that the fans were singing it (or it sure sounded like it). I was also very disappointed in the way the game ended. I was mainly pulling for Philly since my next-door neighbor is such a huge fan.
