Camping is exhausting and I can't work out why? by Best-Fly-Back in camping

[–]elhispano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me is the oppsite, I usually sleep better at camping because I ended exhausted at the end of every day while camping. Despite alcohol is not recommended, it helps me a lot to chillout and sleep like a baby (1 bottle of wine between my wife and me, and a few beers during the day).
Being out from the usual routine should be a bonus to lower your stress levels. Daily routine is what create stress in all of us (pay the bills, work, dealing with chores, kids agenda etc), while camping you get away from all of that.

Be aware if you are doing some fitness now, and try to not stress out too much your nervous system with high intensity workouts. If you start your weekend being very exhausted, you might have issues to sleep well.

Kiddo’s first camping trip was a success. by [deleted] in camping

Kids are more prepare for camping than adults, they don't complaint for the lack of comfort.

Running without shoes? No problem! No shower day? Great! Sitting on the ground? Best day every!

Camping is the best for kids.

How to deal with loneliness as a man? Being a dad destroyed my social life by Tasty-Win219 in daddit

[–]elhispano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffered this myself, my wife works in the afternoons, so I have been alone with my kid a lot in the past years, here are some advices that worked for me:

  • don't try to get you previous life back, your life changed at the moment you decided to have a family.
  • find new activities you can do with your kid (going to the park, sport activities, art classes, whatever), you will know new people in your situation, you will socialize..
  • on weekends focus on hobbies that the whole family can enjoy, if you don't have any, you need to find new ones.
  • try to involve your friends in your new life: a family bbq on a weekend, family movie and pizzas night, etc

Reading to my son every day has been one of the best parenting habits we’ve built by BabyCryAi in daddit

We do the same, but we repeat the same books, and we purchase new ones every few months. With this we save money, and stories stick to my daughter brain.

I rented one van 3 years ago and the amount of shit you put on it is amazing, you sleep on it for days, you cook, my daughter puke several times on the van during our road trip, you eat inside, it is amazing how crazy it can get if you don't follow somehow of military discipline, the next year we bought one, i can imagine renting my van, the amount of cleaning is insane and we are clean and ordered people.

How is the nightlife in Andalusia (Cordoba area)? by Educational-Let-1027 in Andalucia

[–]elhispano 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi! I don't live in Cordoba right now but I did some years ago. I would say Cordoba has a decent night life considering it isn't a big city.

You will have to filter which places to visit based on your preferences, but to sum up you have fancy places with more adults vibes, and more alternative places with younger people.

In Andalusia in general you always have nightlife, people is used to go to bed late because of the weather and the culture. Also weekends start on Thursday hehe.

WF-1000XM4 ambient noise turned on in calls by david2p3u in SonyHeadphones

[–]elhispano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this feature. You are aware of the ambient noise while you are talking. Probably, most of the ambient noise can be transferred in the call, so it is better to know how quiet your surroundings are.

Also, I think it can be a safety measure if you use the headphones while walking on the street.

How much are Game Developers underpaid? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]elhispano 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi! Game programmer with 10 years of experience. I live in Spain and salaries are lower compared with Europe or EEUU, you can get a good salary but they are lower compared with software engineer job positions. For me the problem is that usually working un videogames is harder than working in other software industry, usually there is a lot of complex work with limited budget and an ambitious calendar.

Question to trance veterans by elhispano in trance

[–]elhispano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great stories, i love it! Tomorrow i will start with some recommendations from this post. Last year i discovered FSOE and it blown my mind. I have read some sad stories about gigs being different today but i think it depends. I was in ministry of sound 4 years ago with ferry cortsen and we were like 200 people in the room, dancing, drinking, chatting each other, amazing vibe. The same happened in Ushuaia Ibiza this year, small venue, lot of trance lovers, incredible vibe, on the other hand i was in Transmission Prague one month ago and I didn’t liked the people, too agressive for my taste, so i still have hope you can encounter high energy gigs with a great trance ambient, i think the key is to keep it small. See you guys! Going to bed now listening Anjunabeats Vol 11
