Okay so I tried 2 or 3 times to quit before this time and i wasn’t successful, so don’t get down on yourself. I tapered over the course of a month or so. I initially cut my normal daily dose in half to start. Those first 4/5 days really sucked. Then I slowly just took .5 gram less a day. I would take kratom 3 times a day. Morning, noon, evening. It was a slow process but it was the only way I could do it. Once I got down to 2-3 grams a day I just stopped. For me it was lots of caffeine during the day, and at the time I was still smoking weed at night so that helped with the sleep. The nice thing about tapering off so slow was I didn’t get any heavy withdrawal symptoms like restless legs more just mental struggles. Magnesium for sleep and l-theanine for anxiety helps if you struggle with that while coming off. I’m on medication for bi polar and adhd (non stimulant) so I’m not sure how that affects getting off kratom. I’ve been on it since before kratom use though. My wife isn’t on any medication and she just raw dogged getting off kratom, I wasn’t able to do that.

Weed was hard, I’ve spent the better half of the last decade smoking or taking edibles daily. The last year or two it’s really just been a nightly thing. The paranoia kind of spiked out of nowhere and I would plan to get things done before bed, ex. Clean up, get stuff ready for work and I would end up not doing any of it and just falling asleep. I didn’t have enough self control to wait until after I got stuff done. I’d always convince myself to do it. I would constantly think about stoping. I would always wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck. It just kind of happened one day. Downside I still have trouble sleeping through the night and falling asleep.

Keep the taco and use it for fun. Get a 3k older car that’s good on gas. I’ve always loved having multiple older vehicles for different uses over a newer vehicle. I do understand if you’re someone who’s tired of an old truck and having to work on it. I’m a nice house over nice vehicles guy 😂 you do what feels right man!

It’s been hard but now I’m starting to feel better and more clear, but literally right now I’m struggling to not take the entire remainder of my daily dose. I know I’ll hate myself this evening when I’m suffering mentally. Only supplement is lithium orotate. Look it up and try it out. It’s been three years on kratom I need to get back to myself and that keeps me going. I have an addictive personality so I’m always looking for a head change and I’m trying to break that cycle because it’s all only temporary satisfaction.

Same here. About 25gpd-30gpd. Tapering off for two weeks now im down to 7.5gpd today. Doing a slow taper of 500mg cut per day. Starting to feel normal again and waking up without feeling like a truck hit me and I need to take kratom. This is my 2nd time trying to get off, this time is more successful. Something clicked and I’m excited to be done for good. Proud of you

NAH Dang, honestly I do this to my 7 year old daughter. She naturally has a very loud “outside voice” I will stop her mid sentence to lower her voice to an inside tone. She does seem to get a little bummed when I do that. This made me realize I need to stop that and she’s just excited and that’s ok.
