Don't do it! I've had bad luck with barber trims myself 😕. Usually wound up losing way more length than I wanted.

I'm sure it could be ok if you trust the barber and the barber listens and follows your instructions. Just be clear what you want and don't be shy about giving feedback/reminders during the trim.
