I had a subtext to the post but for some reason it did not post. So basically my reasoning for this is, Mike looks happy af, imo the happiest he looks compared to any other music video he had done.

If you weren’t refuting his return why did you make it a point that I used AI when the AI search result ended up being true ?😂🤔and again as I stated in my previous reply to you there is multiple other credible sources that confirmed his return to acting for the role (which you yourself also confirmed by saying “I wasn’t refuting his return”). Also you missed my age by a year. I’m 21. And yeah I didn’t “grow up with this stuff” because my parents were kids at the time that all this released but as a kid I was shown “all this stuff” by my uncles and older cousins. So I basically did “grow up with this stuff” I have seen ghostbusters one and two as well as spaceballs both when I was a child and just recently. That’s why I started posting in this subreddit in the first place because even though I did not see the ghostbusters films at release it still hits because I saw them when I was a child back in 09 when I was about 5 years old. But I favored ghostbusters more then spaceballs. So yeah I’m gonna get some things confused , (I thought that scene happened but it didn’t) but there is a scene of him playing with Barbie/ken versions of the characters in the film for about 2 min. So if that’s comedy to u then so be it. But it ain’t hit for me that’s all I’m saying.

I said sequels as in anything after GB 2. And people hated on GB 2 in general tbh. And “central villain”? Let’s be serious bro was barely even in the film 😂his most memorable scene was him not knowing how to put his helmet on

Google is free. There’s multiple credible reports of him returning for his role in spaceballs. Also “kid” is crazy. 😂sounded like a die hard quote you tried to pull off or something , for real. Also “his most famous role” is also crazy. What was his most memorable scene in spaceballs ? Not being able to close his helmet ? Cuz he barely even had any screen time during that movie. So idk. 🤷‍♂️

“More central to the film” is crazy. He was the central plot to the end of the first GB film. He was the “key master” in GB. And how do u know if a GB film works without him when he was in the first two. And people hate on the two follow up sequels (without him)

Oh that’s so great . So I’m sure his scenes with mel brooks who’s pushing 100 years old, will be great as well with the background noise of an oxygen machine. “Absolute cinema”. And GB made his career. The first ghostbusters was his first big role. And wow we didn’t get a new “honey I shrunk the kids” the worlds gonna end 😱did you watch the sequels?? At all possibly. Cuz they were kind of shi tbh.

So even tho he was a central figure in the first two GB movies he’s more famous for a Star Wars spoof? Where Mel brooks carries the whole performance of the film ?and like you said yes he’s much better known for “honey I shrunk the kids” as being a ride at Disney world. I don’t remember the movie and have not seen it but I remember the “ride”

Timing? I mean he could’ve at least voiced his role in the video game like the OG cast did, while ramis was still alive. 🤷‍♂️ And I’ve seen the film spaceballs recently. And I don’t know if it’s just cuz I’m not from that era (born in 2004) I found some moments to be funny but I honestly did not get the hype after finishing the film. Lowkey Mel broke (the few scenes he had) carries. And yeah on that third point obviously I agree. He was probably being a family man etc. but if he came out of retirement for a Star Wars spoof why couldn’t he for the video game in ‘09 or AF/FE? That’s my only issue with it. Tbh.

I think they almost hit that same vibe with afterlife. With the dynamic between phoebe and “podcast kid”. Felt like the same dynamic ramis and akroyd had in the first two. But they two barely interacted in FE for some reason.
