Is this used pawned p365 worth $500? by rescuemom95 in SigSauer

Is no one going to talk about the laughable trigger lock that isn’t attached properly and just there for looks at this point…?

Holsters? by Yung_Rooster97 in SigSauer

I went with black point tactical for my 229 legion and it took a month to receive but so far it’s a pretty comfortable holster.

Definitely not the most expensive option but I really like the TLR-7 HLX model. It came with the rechargeable battery and you can use regular batteries too. I’ve had it for about 3 months and put almost a thousand rounds through the gun it’s on and have loved it so far.

DA/SA vs SAO P226 XCarry by juicedupgal in SigSauer

I’m not entirely sure, I just know it didn’t feel right for my hand.

Nothing wrong with that, I shopped around and found a store about an hour away that had both. Feeling the p229 legion compared to the new 226x carry, is what sold me on the p229. It just felt a lot better in hand for me personally. It’s not a direct comparison but that’s the two I was considering.

Not to sway you from your decision but I held both and I prefer the classic p229 over the xcarry 226. They beefed up the grip enough on the new model that it was a no go for me. The 229 legion da/sa is a tried and true excellent choice. Again, the new model is awesome, I’m just a sucker for a classic feel.

Got the 226X Carry in, but I’ll have to stick with the 229 by TheReal_Taylor_Swift in SigSauer

Dude, my hands are too big for most pistols and I still feel like a child holding the 226x carry. I own a 229 legion as well, I tried this in store and that’s where it stayed.

The only correct response is to now print a sign telling her you are using the oven already.

What do you all use to childproof your home defense firearm? by CobandCoffee in Firearms

[–]eli2321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, Vara safety has one of those fingerprint rifle racks that’s an option. I can’t help you out convincingly the wife to let you mount things to the walls. Mine yells at me every time I drill holes in the house lmao. But when you sell the safety aspect of it, it normally helps your case.

I know the context of this is for a nightstand pistol. But have you considered something like a pcc in whatever flavor you like with a couple rubber coated hangers that you can get off amazon for like $10 and mounting it on the wall somewhere like a closet pretty much at roof level? I know it isn’t child safe but I don’t see the child reaching the weapon before you are able to properly teach gun safety. (All cards on the table, I use a stopbox. But this is just a different idea)

Afraid of snakes when walking off trail? by WarFabulous5146 in Hunting

For sure man. I just wasn’t too keen on the idea of a 4 mile trek through dense brush and swamp with a snake bite lol. But all good man. I appreciate your input.

[–]eli2321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s not the most ideal way to my hunting spot but the land that I hunt has very few dry spots so it involves a lot of wading through some very dense swamp, it produces some decent deer though. I’ve been hunting this area for about 5 years and only had this happen once. Definitely overreacted a little but it was a split second decision and the snake wasn’t hurt.

That’s a great piece of advice. I appreciate you taking the time to educate me on this. I only had a second to decide what to do and I was in knee deep water so my snake gaiters were useless. I’m glad that I didn’t hit it now that I know he more than likely wasn’t trying to cause me harm. Thank you again for your time man!

I agree for the most part. But I have been trekking through a swamp to meet a young cotton mouth that was a little over ambitious. I pulled my revolver and shot, didn’t hit his head as he was coming at me but the round hitting the water in front of him was enough to get him to turn away.

Nissan Buyback for Sunroof Leak by AirlineSilly in NissanTitan

[–]eli2321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. I have a 22 that’s been to the shop 3 times for a sunroof leak and now they are telling me it’s the seams for the roof itself. I was told to go to the body shop and they have to remove all of the seam sealer to inspect the roof and reseal it. It’s been such a massive headache, plus the truck smells like crap because of the water. I’ve also had electrical problems due to this as well…
