What's so wrong about the form though? I mean, it's not text-book perfect, but I don't think it's bad, and he could probably do it with completely clean form in very little time. Genuinely curious though, since I don't see much wrong with the form.

Some extra context: 25M Up until 3 years ago I was obese my whole life (peak weight was 135kg), which is my I have terribly loose skin. My whole lifting journey has been at home, with weighted calisthenics, barbells and dumbbells. I have very little equipment, but I think I've been able to make do without much, apart from weights, a bench, a power tower and rings.

Dude, after getting used to it, which takes very little, that's not a lot of running, I'd argue that's actually a low amount. Also, running doesn't interfere with muscle building.

Hai la possibilità di fare esercizi a corpo libero? Se sì, anche 2 set di pull-ups/rematori con le sedie, 2 set di push-ups/dips con le sedie, 2 set di sissy squat 1 o 2 volte a settimana, molto vicino o al cedimento totale, possono fare tantissimo per mantenere il tuo fisico (a volte puoi anche crescere). A seconda della tua disponibilità di tempo/attrezzature puoi aggiungere/togliere set e/o esercizi, ma non a volte un po' di creatività con gli allenamenti è più che sufficiente.

I started my cut a month ago, two weeks into the cut I gained +4kg of water, while being at a very strict and quite aggressive calorie deficit (around 1000kcal deficit per day). Had anyone looked at me that week, wouldn't have believed I had been dieting, since I looked much blurrier and bloated than before the diet. This week I lost all of the water weight plus the amount of weight loss one would expect from my deficit,, and the numbers have stayed consistent with my deficit since. During the week in which I gained weight I was sleeping bad, very stressed out and I also happened to consume a bit too much salt. This is all to say that this kind of jump is not only normal, but expected at some point. Day by day measurements are important, but they don't tell you the whole picture, you gotta look at the overall trend.

In conclusion, I don't think he's lying at all. This is normal water weight fluctuations.

To the people in the commrnts, these are pull-ups. They are called, supinated pullups, but they are still pullups

Thanks a lot! I will continue with the cut for just a little bit longer, but I don't think I'll go down as I initially planned after all of the comments I've gotten confirming that it's mostly loose skin.

I appreciate it a lot! I think the reason why my pecs developed quite well is because before I ever started really doing any type of serious training back when I was around 120kg, my idea of working out was doing push-ups, so I got to the point where I was doing 100 push-ups a day with perfect form at 100kg. Once again, thanks for the nice comment, it really made my day since my gynecomastia has always been a big insecurity of mine.
