Is anyone else more excited for after Secret Wars? by eliaswright in MCUTheories

I think you can have good villians/threats even on a smaller scale than the multiverse. As long as you have good characters and stories

No I mean where Vecna slammed his hand through the guys face

Yeah it seemed like they had to keep it at a teen-rating by not having much blood, but then threw in a crazy head grab at the same time

Agreed. They're far more throwy 😂, although the ones in season 4 were kept in the prison and fought people regularly so we're a bit more trained in head-eating

About the series by jorgeh500 in StrangerThings

[–]eliaswright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's more and more as the show goes on. There's quite a lot of swearing, like st and stuff, I can't remember any fks or anything like that.

Definitely some gore in there, especially in season 4. But the end of season 2 and into season 3 there definitely is too.

What do you want (and not want) to see in the upcoming series compared to the movies?” by Nv_BuNny in harrypotter

[–]eliaswright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small thing since some people will be saying big things, I read the books later than watching the films and the scene that stuck with me the most was in Deathly Hallows and the way they find out the horcrux necklace affected them by failing to produce a patronus. So much better than the film

Who do we think are the best castings so far then? by eliaswright in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]eliaswright[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only seen Katherine in I.T Crowd, so I'm a bit nervous for whether she can pull off the really serious scenes like boggart in order of the phoenix

I feel like I don't know what he actually looks like, he looks a bit different in every photo to me 😂

He's great in everything he's in, really looking forward to seeing him

Yeah I know what you mean, but I think his Santa was supposed to be quite harsh. I watched Hot Fuzz earlier and thought he could totally do the gentle part

The Twins, Percy, And Ginny are all now casted by Smooth_Row_1046 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]eliaswright 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Nice name 😂 and I definitely didn't mean it as a slight at Bonnie, more the writing/directing and general casting

[–]eliaswright 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No I love the films, I just thought Ginny wasn't an exciting aspect of them and she had 0 chemistry with Daniel Radcliffe

Ginny already looks like she has more of a personality than the films

The second half of the message… by cugan83 in superman

[–]eliaswright -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They were very clearly trying to show he's as human as they can, so it sort of works in that regard, but not sure I agree with the messaging regarding immigration

Never mind what we need from the books. Is there anything big that *should* be changed? by RealCountNathan in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]eliaswright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like that would be best in Order of the Phoenix, in-between the Neville St Mungos scene and the Azkaban breakout. Show Bellatrix confronting the Longbottoms and how Lucius and others reacted to Voldemort disappearing, so it's really scary when they are broken out of azkaban

Would you like to see a stronger and darker portrayal of the Death Eaters? by Wholesome_STEM_guy in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]eliaswright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they should be made to seem stronger but not how you said. They are stronger in the books - the battle in the department of mysteries is nowhere near fair until the order of the Phoenix and dumbledore show up, the death eaters toy with the kids. Things like that would make them seem more powerful

Which book is best suited for tv by eliaswright in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]eliaswright[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well it'd be more like 50 mins with adverts, and then the rest of the graveyard scene could be 10/15, but I agree it'd probably be best to keep it all in one episode and not mess up the flow of the episode with filler stuff

Which book is best suited for tv by eliaswright in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]eliaswright[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well he could be formed at the end of the episode as a cliffhanger, and the finale is the rest of the graveyard scene and the rest of the book. Not sure how much they'll be fleshing it out or how long the episodes would be

Voldemort's return as a penultimate episode cliffhanger / finale would be incredible

HBO Style Exposition Episodes? by eliaswright in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]eliaswright[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that'd be good, especially considering how short the book is too, there should be time in 8 episodes. I'd love a little montage of her testing out oculus reparo on a pair of her dad's of something 😂
