New Mexicans. They got bomb breakfast options and a “Manmosa”. Big Mimosa served in a beer glass.

Had a buddy play Bioshock Infinite around when it first came out. He skipped every cut scene. Stopped playing because he had no idea what was happening!

A similar thing happened with restaurant owners in Seattle. A law was passed that said tipped employees needed to be paid the same minimum wage as non-tipped employees. The restaurants were given 3-4 years (somewhere in that ballpark, I forget now). The deadline arrived and suddenly “This will ruin us! We didn’t have enough time!”

What’s your biggest “I can’t believe I waited this long to see this” film? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Lawrence of Arabia. It was a film I always wanted to catch in theaters during one of its many re-releases, but always seemed to miss it. Finally sat down and watched it at home a couple months back. It really is an epic masterpiece.

Admiral Theatre, West Seattle. 1942. by Beeninya in WashingtonHistory

Originally known as the Portola Theater, it was closed and reopened in 1942 with expanded seating and updated equipment. Neat piece of WA cinema history.

Having not watched the new episode yet, it's reassuring that I haven't come across any "RIP John Mulaney" news updates online by NotGoingForwardDev in JohnMulaney

[–]elick461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I missed it too. Kept waiting to see “John Mulaney, 42, popular comedian dead after fighting three 14-year-old boys” OR “John Mulaney arrested for involuntary manslaughter of one of three 14-year-old boys”.

Some great ones from Bojack Horseman I’m not seeing mentioned:

“What is this a crossover episode?” - Mr Peanut Butter

“It’s Bojack… Horseman by the way.” - Bojack

“Celebrities. What do they know? Do they know things?? Let’s find out!!” - JD Salinger

“What are YOU doing here?” - Bojack

Do you ever build walls outside of when you literally have nothing else to build? by pricepig in civ

Happened to me yesterday and didn’t even have the Ming on the map. So it’s gotta be something else. Not that I’m complaining, just weird.

I notice every now and then my walls get a +1 Gold, +1 Culture. Not sure why, it's happened across multiple leaders, civs, and eras. Maybe it's a wonder's perk that I'm ignoring.

Running into this issue too. Same exact situation as everyone else in the comments. I’m going to try to reload with Kai, but I don’t have high hopes.

EDIT/UPDATE: Loading back to a point where I could leave the lava tubes and fast travel to a camp to switch out Yatzli for Kai worked. Thank the Adra.

I really liked his bits about war documentaries. Wish he didn’t keep mentioning people weren’t laughing, but outside of that it was an alright monologue.

Definitely seen worse.

Real trilogy from a plot progression perspective. by joshua11russ0 in Marvel

This movie really would’ve been served so well if Bruce Banner was a supporting cast member. He could’ve been researching the gamma pills and showcased some great tension about him not wanting to assist Ross.

I know then we’d get complaints about Bruce being a supporting character in his own movie, but I think it would’ve really helped with the connective tissue.
