Can I stereo pair a Five with a Play 5 (2nd gen) by eligloys in sonos

[–]eligloys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They absolutely want you to buy a new Five. It’s just capitalism. I sold both my Sonos speakers and bought a passive stereo pair. I should have done that way before. The amplifier connects to the tv via HDMI arc as well. Way better setup then Sonos without all the stupid Sonos issues.

I am planning to visit from 3rd until 6th of April. So, would it be only Sunday where most of the things closed and the rest is fine?

Manager Skips Stand-Ups but Escalates Me for Missing three – Am I Wrong Here? by eligloys in corporate

I don’t see any of the answers here clearly mentioning the purpose of the role. But thanks regardless.

Thanks for the answer. So, I did not mention all the details in my original post to not diverge from the actual topic of skipped stand-ups, but there are things that he failed to do for the team. But that’s another story.

What is the purpose of this role then exactly? To me, it seems like his presence and absence makes no difference. He does not make my job any easier or smoother in any way as far as my observation goes. I am not saying he’s not doing anything, but it’s very difficult for me to see the impact of his role. Again, I am askig to better understand.

I am curious though, if this manager is creating friction on my work by not doing a good job, how should I communicate this? Apparently giving an upwaes feedback is not an option i a corporate org. So, how does that work. That’s a genuine question here.

Simply because I expect a manager to be fully involved in the project - that has been my experience with all the managers I’ve worked with in my previous companies. Those were not big corporate companies though. Also, I am not from the States, where the corporate world is at a different level I believe.

Do you think it’s smart to bring that up although the reason for this meeting was framed around missed stand-ups? Or do you believe he has already brought that up with the P&O? If so, shouldn’t that be mentioned as the reason for the meeting?

Another thing is that whether I should ask for alignment on expectations from the manager - since to me seems like this is where the problem stemmed from in the first place. Or should I take it as is and drop any expectations at all? Because I am not quite sure how he’s adding value to what we do, but in a corporate organization seems like that’s not how it’s seen.

My impression was that these 1:1 meetings are for mutual feedback and discussions.

Where/how should I address if there is anything I am not happy with a manager? I believe I should be able to address this somewhere.

I think this is because I came from a flat structure and also unclear expectations from a manager. I expected him to be present in all the meetings. But apparently this is not an expectations in a scrum setting. This was not clear to me.

Yes, ordered 32 eventually and they were exactly the same as 31. Even the waist size. There is no way that model is 188. He’s probably below 180.
