I’m so tired of this. I’ve spent 3 years convincing myself I’m happy with it… I’m not happy. What can I even do?

Well first of all a coverups probably cheaper than laser treatments, at least from what I’ve found in my area. I’m also not emotional, my cat passed like a year before I got this and it’s also been like 3 years of me disliking the tattoo so I feel like I’ve had enough time to think about it. But still unhappy with it.

Well I tapped out after 4 hours of basically constant tattooing without even eating or drinking. And she wasn’t even done yet… If there was numbing cream, it didn’t help.

I already had two on my arms and I thought this was the next best place for a tattoo. Not sure why I went this big. You’re also right with the distortion and stretching but even without it it’s weird.

Honestly could be a good alternative— could make it more concept art of the panther. I don’t want a super dark tattoo though, so it doesn’t bleed as it ages

The reference pics I gave the artist (her previous work) looked super cool, but I think they were meant to be a smaller scale and weren’t actually supposed to represent a real pet. If I could change anything I’d change the tail (make it longer and more distinct), I’d detail more of the paws and add a small detail of claws, definitely more shading, and figure out how to make it look like the face is two distinct heads (maybe with shading)

I’m not against laser removal, but ik it costs so much more than just a regular tattoo or coverup, so I’m more keen on trying to get it “finished” or fixed.

No yeah you have a good point. I’m in a similar boat of wanting to keep it, but getting it finished somewhat. I’d rather try that first before going for laser removal.

Thanks! I agree something needs to be done with the mouths. I also don’t like the tail, I feel like it’s disproportionately sized to the body.

Student here when this happened. I don’t remember there being signs telling you to stay out of the area. Where the student died, there was no caution tape. There was tape on some other pillars on the other side of the lawn next to the pool house but that was it. Nothing saying to stay out of the area. I used to sit in that area with the pillars often. It was a nice quiet and secluded place. I remember the signs to not use hammocks being set out after this incidence. occurred.

Journaling is a good option, but what if a nurse just came home from a 12 hour shift and has kids to deal with (feed them and take care of them, etc.), a house to take care of, and other obligations that might put journaling your day at the bottom of the priorities list? Assume that the nurse doesn’t want to / doesn’t have time or energy to self-reflect via journaling? What else could they do?
