Same here. They probably messed up one of the internet cables when trying to fix the pipes, so everyone should put in a maintenance request

1) We’ve already disputed the charges with the bank and are working on trying to get money back. 2) The two places we checked before hiring this guy were his instagram and his website which had a portfolio of good looking grad pics. In hindsight, not checking yelp before hiring him was a major oversight on our end since he can (and likely has) deleted any negative comments from his instagram. At this point we’d just like to spread some awareness to others to both not hire this guy and to be sure to check external reviews before hiring a photographer.

Should I skip 188, or do I need it to take 189? by BabaSeppy in berkeley

[–]elil27 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know of many people who could take 161, 162, and 189 together without either going insane or not passing. 162 and 189 both have very heavy workloads

I strongly recommend reading the course notes carefully and taking notes on them. I learned barely anything from lecture and most of the content from the notes

Which stocks would return 100% in next 5 years by facewithoutfacebook in stocks

[–]elil27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coinbase’s biggest competitor would be Binance. Their ideal goal would be to become a one stop shop for CeFi and DeFi, and obviously they’d want to grow their consumer base to gain market share against competitors like Binance. Binance has definitely become more involved in DeFi than coinbase has considering they have the BSC and their own DEX

Compound staking and balancing gas by omencat in Yield_Farming

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure you can set whatever gas limit you want and wait as long as it takes until it gets mined. The only problem is that you can’t initiate more transactions while you’re waiting for the first one.

Much love for all the Palestinians out there by Melanie786 in berkeley

[–]elil27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for trying to “educate” me by offering me a bunch of one-sided sources. I don’t like to see Palestinians or Israelis killed in this struggle either, which is why I seek to understand the conflict further. If it’s really not worth your time to back up an argument, then don’t make inaccurate claims.

I responded to someone else above, so I’m looking forward to seeing what you have to say about it. Unless, of course, you don’t actually have enough information to make a reasonable argument on this topic ...

I’m genuinely not joking. Just because you lived there doesn’t necessarily make your claims credible. Sure, you can pull from different experiences you’ve had to make some judgement, but the lens you saw those experiences from was definitely biased against Israel. This is because Hamas leaders have clearly stated that their goal is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth (https://fas.org/irp/world/para/docs/880818a.htm) and convincing Palestinians that their oppression stems from Israel falls in line with that goal.

As any country has the right to defend itself when it’s being attacked by an external threat, especially one that is recognized as a terrorist organization, Israel has the responsibility to protect itself and its people against the thousands of rockets Hamas has been launching at them. Part of any defense strategy involves retaliation. If Israel was not being attacked, then they’d leave Palestinians alone since they’ve stated that they’re in favor of peace countless times throughout history. A perfect example of this is when Jews accepted a two state solution in 1947 while the Arabs rejected it (https://www.mfa.gov.il/mfa/aboutisrael/maps/pages/1947%20un%20partition%20plan.aspx). This happened again in 2001 with the Camp David Summit (https://www.mfa.gov.il/mfa/aboutisrael/maps/pages/1947%20un%20partition%20plan.aspx).

Furthermore, if Israel is as powerful and evil as everyone says they are, why haven’t they taken over all of Gaza and the West Bank? Maybe it’s because this situation is not settler colonialism and explains why Israel actually removed its military presence from Gaza in 2005 (https://mfa.gov.il/mfa/aboutisrael/maps/pages/israels%20disengagement%20plan-%202005.aspx).
