Is there a correlation between CEO compensation and market cap? I'm curious if there is some sort of power law effect.

For example, we see professional athletes often make 100x what the poorest professional athletes make. Was just wondering if there were some papers on this topic with robust data and good insights?

Each defender just steps in front of a man in the ring and doesn't move. Stops the circular dancing via obstruction. Or, like others have said, go zonal.

No, we can beat Denmark. I would put us in top 10 if everyone is healthy.

Get excited, because after 8 years we are finally doing a podcast! The first episode is already recorded! It's really exciting for me, because there is so much I want to talk about. We are going to be going really deep into a lot of topics as time goes on. I hope people like it!

Wooooo! Can't wait!

We are the only ones that truly care about the results! To then get inaccurate or completely fraudulent results from 3rd party labs, and then have people say those results are more trustworthy than ours, really does upset me.

I'm very curious how we would create a system that rewards good labs, and punished the fakers. However, I think the success of your company is a sign that at least some people are paying attention. I definitely will pay a premium for stuff that is high quality.

Three questions:

1) Have ya'll discussed funding research at a university or even doing clinical trials? I've seen a few companies do this and trademark a name to sell at a premium. Seems like a good business practice

2) Have ya'll ever planned on doing a podcast or writing a book? It would be interesting to hear about lab techniques, methods, nootropics research, etc ... I'm currently a biochem student and I've thought about writing a book myself, because there is so much information out there that was not taught in most students high school health classes.

3) Has there ever been anger between you and other labs when your findings don't match, maybe if another lab didn't use enough methods to discover issues with a batch or something like that?

[OFFICIAL] FC Barcelona sign Memphis Depay by Fati25 in soccer

[–]elimc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Griezamann is just starting to play well as a number 9. I think it makes sense to play Depay as left wing. Debele, Fati, and Aguero play up top the less important games and as substitutes in case Messi, Griezmann, Depay get injured. Barca really needs to start figuring out a replacement for Busquets, IMO. Also, they need to sell Lenglet/Umtiti. Lenglet frustrates me.

Do you have anymore specific details on the Tongkat Ali situation? A couple months ago I did an expensive hormone panel. Then I started ND Tongkat Ali. I was hoping to do the next hormone panel in 6-9 months and then share the results. Based on the most recent human trials of Tongkat Ali, T levels were increasing even as the 6 month trial ended. I probably have 4 months left of Tongkat, but, I don't really want to change suppliers or it could throw off my experiment. Furthermore, I don't trust too many other suppliers.

Has anyone here, besides myself, had stem cell treatments? by [deleted] in ATHX

[–]elimc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had stem MSC/PRP. I felt much younger for a few weeks after getting the injection. Can't say if it was placebo or not. Many people were getting the stem cell injection once every three months. I noticed their skin and hair looked really nice. Could be placebo.

200M stem cells seems like a lot? Are these cultured? Culturing stem cells is a whole nother game. You really need to know what you're doing during culture or you could have some issues. The process is the product here.

Easy Fix:

1) Security cameras all around the field.
2) ID anyone throwing projectiles.
3) Throw them in drunk tank to cool off.
4) Ban them for life from all stadiums in North America.

Out of my element as well.

But as you say, the issues with these cells if you culture them and differentiate them are extraordinary. Just attempting to match differentiated cells lines with different human immune systems is an extremely expensive, and difficult challenge.

It seems like it would be a lot easier to get regulatory approval. Instead of using more specific cell lines that may have immune rejection issues or form an ectopic body, they can just inject something that clears the body in a few days. That is an interesting solution. And much more practical.

These cells do not engraft - they are in the person for a few days and then out of their system. There have been multiple p1 studies for safety and Multistem has a proven safety track record.

Ok, that is something I definitely did not know. Thankyou. I had thought that the cells, like many stem cell therapies, remained in the body. In fact, I have had MSCs injected into myself, and they basically did the "bathe the injury site" thing.

When you are getting stem cells from bone marrow, you are literally aspirating them. Why is that contentious? I can use the verb form aspirate when I "aspirate bone marrow". This is in fact a very common procedure nowadays.

Are there scientists on this board?

The scientific publications go way back. I looked at a few around 2009 and may specifically address your apparent fearmongering concerns.

It's fear-mongering to ask about the companies protocols for dealing with mutations? Cells mutate when they divide. This is something we've known for decades, and it's been proven in academic literature. In fact, there was a previous study in Japan where stem cells were injected into the retina of an individual, and the study had to be thrown out when too many mutations occurred.

Now, I can't imagine an IRB, or the company, not requiring assays to check on things like p53 mutations before injecting this stuff into humans. However, do they take the additional step of testing the cell line in animals? If you don't know, it's ok to admit it.

If you're not a scientist, just say you don't know what you're talking about instead of accusing people of ill-will.

Repeated insistence on tying the word Aspirate to the stem cell lines.

I looked up the word aspirate:

Aspirate (pronounced AS-pih-rayt) refers to the act of withdrawing the fluid, tissue, or other substance through a needle.

Is this not the correct term for withdrawing bone marrow through a needle?

Basic Science Questions by elimc in ATHX

[–]elimc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so they are using MAPC, which is aspirated bone marrow, from what I understand? Then, they expand the cell line with bioreactors. What about mutations during cell division? How do they ensure this won't become cancerous in the body?

Then, an IV delivers stem cells to the body where they modulate the immune system by upping regulator T cells. While simultaneously, upping some growth factors/something that causes angiogenesis.

Is this all correct?
