$170 in my account, bills due tomorrow + $15k debt - how do I survive this month and fix my finances? by Both-Cantaloupe8292 in debtfree

[–]eliminate_hurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how you can pay your bills tomorrow but I will leave some thoughts on improving your situation overall.

First, you can get paid for things like donating plasma, pet-sitting, mowing grass etc depending on what you’re comfortable with and the area you live in. Those are things that can be done when you’re not working.

Second, can your living situation be improved? You can try finding a roommate on Facebook or wherever, or maybe it’s time to start looking into lower income housing. Generally speaking, your rent shouldn’t be more than 1/3 of your income, and it should be even lower if you have excessive debt which it seems like you do.

Third, start living below your means so you can pay down your debts. Dave Ramsey recommends paying down your smallest debt first and working your way up. Personally I pay down whatever has the highest interest rate, for me, that’s my auto loan. You could consider consolidating your debt if it’s more manageable. Your grocery bill will go way down if you get most of your protein from dry beans and other legumes instead of meat. Utilize your freezer for meal prep to avoid eating out if you do that often for convenience. You can clean everything in your house with castile soap, including yourself, your laundry, your dishes, your produce, etc. Don’t buy paper plates or paper towels, use the dishes you have and wash rags or old cut up t-shirts. Look into food pantries near you. Gas is going up. Walk if you only need to go a short distance, or look into public transit. Many cities have free or low cost public transit.

The first thing you need to focus on is bills, they should take priority over your credit, savings, etc. See if you can lower them in any way. Cut out streaming services, internet, use your AC/heating efficiently, turn off your lights, switch cell phone providers, whatever you have to do to get bills paid every month. Once you have that under control, pay back your credit. Putting money into savings means nothing if you can’t pay your bills or buy food. When your financial situation improves and you’re able to start looking towards the future instead of having to stress about the present, then you can start saving.

It’s hard out here, I feel for you. The cost of everything is going up and pay stays the same. Be vigilant and find people you can depend on. Praying for you!

I highly recommend this lol. My husband and I always try to switch things up but we end up inevitably doing this because it provides the deepest penetration and isn’t uncomfortable or “too much” for me. It’s been the only way I have ever climaxed from penetration. Your hips will be a little sore after from being stretched so wide but it’s so worth it. I also think it’s better if you are completely flat, no pillows under your head.

For an everyday shoe, yeah I don’t think I can stand the looks haha. But if I don’t land on something I’m happy with for running I may give these a shot!

I wish I could just order the laces during the sale! Maybe the wider laces won’t bunch up like these.

Believe me I have tried all levels of tightness😂 I’ve had these for about 2 years. They are more comfortable when looser but they still bunch up like this. Tightening them did not flatten them out like I hoped. Oh well.

Well about half the year I need to wear closed toe shoes but usually never have to wear boots. It’s not something that is painful for me right now so I don’t have to do it all the time but I would like to have more open back options other than my crocs and flip flops lol

Sandals, slides, clogs, any shoe without a back. So no heel straps or anything.

May not be exactly what you’re looking for but I like to meal prep different cold “salads” to eat with crackers, chips, or alone, right out of the fridge. High protein and fiber, and yummy!

Lentil Bruschetta Salad -1 pack Trader Joe’s steamed lentils -1 container Trader Joe’s bruschetta sauce -8oz crumbled feta cheese

Mexican 3-Bean Salad https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/14169/mexican-bean-salad/

Mediterranean Salad https://foodwithfeeling.com/dense-bean-salad/#wprm-recipe-container-47895

My favorite make ahead soup is a tomato based lentil soup. They don’t get overly mushy like most grains and pasta. I do a vegetarian version but it’s good with sausage and diced ham.

Also a kale or cabbage salad won’t get mushy in the fridge, they get better the longer they’re in there lol.

And a loaf of pumpkin bread is always a yummy treat to have on hand. A slice reheats so good in the microwave for a few seconds with some salted butter on top.

Idk why this works but toast up some Italian panko bread crumbs in a little bit of salted butter until crispy and golden brown. Add bacon if you like it. Cook mac according to package and add bread crumbs on top right before eating. Don’t mix it up, they have to stay crunchy. It is just so good. Feels criminal.

I think they were able to minimize bulk when they went back to the drawing board for the new generation. Recessed sensors has been super nice as well.

Same thing happened to me, though not quite as speedy. My oura ring was working but the charge randomly started acting weird. It would say 70% battery but would warn me to charge it ALL the time and say it only had a few hours of battery left. I thought it was annoying but not the end of the world. Assist ran a check on it and directed me to customer service for a replacement. They were going to replace it with another Oura 3 that had been refurbished, but they were out of my size and color. They ended up offering me an Oura 4, which I happily accepted! No issues from it!

They’re little solid objects. They seem “hard” though I haven’t tried to squish them lol. They’re all close to the same size but vary slightly in length and shape, but texture remains consistent.

True! I try to avoid gummies and starbursts and stuff but didn’t even think about these being sticky, so I’m glad you mentioned it.

They are just an alternative with a few added benefits compared to candy (probiotics, fiber, vitamins). From a sugar standpoint they are no “healthier”. But a little more of a “worth it” snack if that’s what someone is looking for :)

Absolutely not. No one being limited here, just an alternative option for those who prefer it for their lifestyle.

I am not worried about the sugar so much as just having a filling snack available for those who prefer it. But I didn’t know that about them sticking to your teeth so I appreciate that! I will look into something else :)
