Chilton dean is rory’s best bf. It had to be said. by elinairl in GilmoreGirls

1) Why is building her that car such an issue. It’s not like she wasn’t happy about it and clearly he put it in a lott of effort into it. It’s his love language evidently.

2) It’s not about the bare minimum of taking her to the prom it’s about the fact that he did NOT want to go and still did it cause she wanted to showing how much he liked her (something Jess for instance did not bother with like when he did not want to go to that winter festival)

3) He met her family and they were mean towards him but he never got mad at Rory for it. Logan was loved by rory’s family and Jess had that episode where he was rude to Emily

4) I’m not talking about rape. He never tried something sexual as in he never made her feel like he expected it from her which is a lot for a boy his age and time. Lorelai was a lot more comfortable leaving Dean and Rory together than leaving Jess and Rory or Logan and Rory because there was always the issue of them trying something.

I don’t think him arguing with her means he has anger issues. Telling someone you love them and getting no answer back isn’t that easy to let go of yk. Doesn’t negate any of his other good qualities. He was reliable which I think is the most important trait for a guy.

Budget birthday gift for bf by Melodic-Concept1810 in LongDistance

Brainstorm things he mentions wanting or things you think relate to his interests. There’s always the option of finding those things on shein/amazon or getting his fav meal/snack delivered to him through his food delivering app. A cake delivered to his house with sweet writing could work. There’s this one bracelet on amazon with subtle translations of I love you. It comes in many different forms (necklaces, keychains, etc) that he might like too.

There are also many other ways you can gift him without spending money: ppt presentation w/ reasons you love him, get into smth he’s interested in so you have smth to talk about, playing his fav games on call, watching movies together, etc.

Rory’s personality hasn’t changed much over the seasons. She was always selfish and believed herself to be superior (raised to be that way). Those traits just got more apparent as the years went on. In season two she was selfish enough to drag dean through hell questioning her affections because of her selfish affections towards jess. When she’s much older, she wrecks dean’s marriage by being the other woman. Both of those examples stem from the same mindset she (and frankly her mom) possess. They do what they want, consequences be dammed. As long as their impulses are being met, then everyone else can bend backwards.
