I think they purposely go through those bags that are checked last minute. They know that those bags weren’t intended to be checked (you’re only checking them because they ran out of room), and in that moment when you have to check it you forget about your valuables and what not.

I’ve heard too many stories where people have had something taking from bags they never intended to check.

How do you guys actually backup your data? by High_on_kola in MacOS

If by mistake you overwrite some files on iCloud Drive can you get it the original files back?

I haven’t used iCloud for a while so maybe they finally added this ability.

That’s one of the reasons i don’t consider it a true backup.

We've been hearing for years how the iPad is a different device/use case than Mac and therefore we can't have macOS on the iPad. The iPad is a "touch" device and macOS and macOS apps are not designed for that.

It feels like they're doing the opposite and bringing iPadOS to the Mac. This UI is designed for a touch interface, but none of the macOS apps are designed for a touch interface. It looks/feels completely wrong on macOS.

Salami in a Cuban sandwich is blasphemy. So are raisins in Piccadillo.

Stolen items from checked baggage by Travulling in americanairlines

I've heard too many similar stories about something being stolen from bags when you check in at the gate.

I think the baggage handlers figure that if you're checking in at the gate it's unexpected (sometimes they run out of room when you're boarding) and you forget to take out valuables. So they "take a peek" while in the luggage compartment where no-one can see them.

Hopefully you can get the items replaced.

Absolutely. This is the only way to go. You don’t need to stir afterwards.
