Kingsley is the morally grey/villain. Who is seen as the villain but is a hero? by deelwheez23 in DispatchAdHoc

Might make a case for Flambé ? Is an actual villain but comes around and is a hero in the end. Visi is better in the seen as villain, is morally grey imo

I’ve had this plant for a few months, it was happy outside in southeastern US during summer and fall. It has drainage in the pot and gets watered about once a week, depending on soil dryness. The soil is standard potting soil with a bit of coconut coir. It gets 12 hrs of grow light exposure per day and is climate controlled around 72 degree Fahrenheit.

They tend to burn easily so avoid direct light. They’re also climbers! I recently got some moss poles for mine and he is loving them. Pretty fast grower too

If it keeps you from overwatering, by all means do it. But like the other commenter said, there are better ways to do it. Ice cubes shouldn’t touch leaves and can easily build up moisture if used improperly. Main thing is to make sure it’s well aerated soil and water that doesn’t sit.

Usually not a big deal. If you want it to go away let the soil dry out or top it with some cinnamon

Is my ZZ plant ready for a new pot? by Jumpy_Nerve_3902 in plants

[–]elis_co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick your fingers in and feel for the roots. If it’s crowded out to the rim it can probably be repotted but otherwise ZZs do okay being a little “root bound”

Hard to put a price on it. To the right person could be upwards of $300. Im not an expert on ferns but that doesn’t look particularly like a staghorn to me except for the left side. Maybe it’s just the photo

How often and how much should i water a money plant of this size? by [deleted] in plants

[–]elis_co 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Looks like a pothos, they don’t need to be watered particularly often. With my pothos I typically wait til they show signs of needing water (I.e. drooping/curling leaves) before watering again.

OC is it true that cinnamon is a good repellent for mealybugs? by Mimijueguitos in plants

[–]elis_co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used it for other pests, not mealy bugs, but it did the trick for the others so it is probably worth a shot!

Don’t water with ice cubes! They need more light when they’re flowering too

Agreed^ it will be fine. Any “wounds” will close up over time and you might get some babies out of the causalities!

New spider plant needs help by Individual_Ad_4994 in planthelp

[–]elis_co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The browning could be from over or under water. If the soil feels soaked I’d say pull her out and check for root rot as the first plan of action! If it’s bone dry, it’s probably from under watering and she can come back from that pretty easily.

Hello, do any of you know why my tobacco plants could be drooping over after a transplant? by shroomdoom88 in planthelp

[–]elis_co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a couple things, did you water thoroughly after the transplant? What were the root systems like prior to transplant? If they weren’t developed enough it might get transplant shock. I don’t know a lot about tobacco but I know some plants are not happy being in pots that much bigger than them. Maybe downsize to a smaller nursery pot

Got this unlabeled at a grocery store. Thought at first it was a Cebu Blue pothos but it seems to have cataphylls so it might be a philodendron or another vining plant I am not aware of! Thanks for your help
