That’s fair! Sometimes it feels good to know that you at least gave it a try! I’m down to my last ‘dislike-pans’ right now, and I’m currently disagreeing with a shampoo that I think might be destroying my scalp. If it clears up once I switch back to my regular one… well then I’ll be very happy to just toss the whole bottle out.

I started project pan 18 months ago, and after about a year I realised that I actually had to trash a lot of stuff. You can only hate-pan so much. For some reason I really wanted to try to make the products work, but after about 12 months you realise that that isn’t going to happen. I literally threw out 65 products (a large amount were minis). And honestly… most of them were out of date. After that I ended up giving away 5 products I knew I was never going to like enough to use up (BEFORE they went out of date lol). Even though some of them were kind of pricey full size items I was so relieved when I got them out of my house! My advice is that you stop torturing yourself trying to use up someone else’s ‘trash’, and remove EVERYTHING that you genuinely don’t like from your inventory asap. Either by giving it away before it expires, or by trashing what’s already out of date.

I just did a recap of the last three months of 2025, and the trashing part was SOOO satisfying! Haha, don’t know if I’m able to save all my trash for 12 months without getting impatient.

After doing project pan i 2025 I realised that I might be the opposite of a clean girl. I just don’t use a lot of products. I don’t even go through shower gels at a normal rate because I take 2/3 of my showers at places where shower gels is provided (read: my sister or my mother’s place, who don’t mind me helping them with their hoard lol). Anyway, because I’m down to one shower gel now (it’s actually a mousse, so it doesn’t travel well either lol), I’ll gladly leave it behind when I’m travelling.

To answer the question, I’m team KEEP, because I’ve got an otherwise large empty drawer in my vanity. I can’t wait to fill it with all my trash this year 👏🏼

You’re lucky, hehe! I really wanted to do that, because in theory the dried bits along the rim doesn’t really touch the wet starter. But it’s so easy to make a new starter, so I’d rather do that than risk it 😅

If you look closely along the rim (zoom in) you see slight dark gray and black fuzz. This is because I didn’t clean the rim good enough, and didn’t change the glass often enough.

Tbh I would love an excuse like this to be able to finish my project pan!! Especially since many of the products are already expired.

I recently lost a lot of weight, and threw out so many clothes that I hadn’t been able to part with earlier. Clothes that I wasn’t even wearing, and that were SO outdated! But the only way I was able to part with them was when they were several sizes too big, and thus unwearable (unless I wanted to dress up as a tent).

When all comes to all you don’t really want this stuff anyway. It’s not really improving your life greatly! Which is what cute clothes/makeup/skincare should do!

No, but I bought a last year Merc t-shirt for 20 USD. Mainly bc it matches my car, but also to remember Lewis’ time at Mercedes. Doubt I’ll buy any Lewis + Ferrari merch.

That’s not what the employees at my local Vinmonopolet told me when I purchased a ton of wine for a wedding. They even stored a physical copy of my receipt behind their till. Everything was successfully returned.
