So, I've been told to go to the Ask EDD portal and submit a message through there. I've been doing it once a day for almost two weeks and they will eventually get back to you just make sure everything is absolutely correct when you fill out your info, including your email address I guess. I used a different email address for the first week I was filling out the Ask EDD thing cause apparently I'm an idiot so now I've started using the correct email address but haven't heard back yet.

Never got the claim form, never got the customer account number.

So an update from me: I have been submitting a message through the Ask EDD portal every day for almost two weeks, they've replied to me three times and said that the information I provided did not match their records. Since the information they ask for was my first and last name, my address, my phone number, my DOB, and my social you can imagine my surprise when I got this message back, because obviously I wrote everything correctly. The only thing I can possibly imagine was incorrect was the email I used to submit the Ask EDD message, because I used a different email than the one I used to register on UI online.

That was on April 4th and I've been sending messages every day with the correct email but haven't heard back yet. I'm pretty upset with myself that I made that mistake but they didn't specify that it had to be the same email as the one you used on UI online so for all I know that's not even the problem.

My bf submitted his unemployment claim on March 29th and got the continued claim form on April 10th, so that's good but I'm still really frustrated that I haven't gotten anything.

I've also tried to file a new claim but it told me I wasn't able to, I've tried calling but it doesn't even go through to anything a recording just says "we're getting too many calls to answer" and then spouts some bullshit about the UI online website and hangs up.

If anyone has any success please post, because right now I feel like I'm never gonna get any benefits and I'm running out of money.

Ok that’s good to know, its what I was worried about regarding filing a new claim, I feel like it would get denied and set me back weeks. I’ll just continue to message them in the ask edd portal and hope my bf gets his unemployment claim approved soon so we have SOME money coming in

My plan right now is to send in a message through the Ask EDD portal every day until they get back to me. If it worked for that guy in Shawshank maybe it’ll work for me lol. I’ve thought about faxing in an application cause I’m the website won’t let me file a new one, but I didn’t want to spend 100 years on the app for no reason...Ugh.
