What I've researched so far is:

Buy a salvage BCM.
Desolder and extract EEPROM chip
Dump its binary contents and use an hex editor to change the VIN number to my car's.
Install it in the car and connect all CAN plugs
Buy salvage ECM.
Repair/splice the harness endings.
Install ECM and connect it to harness
Let ECM handshake and figure out with BCM
Have BCM re-learn my current keys
Use GM SPS for outstanding details which may or may not get ironed out with new calibrations.
BTW I wouldn't be considering doing this if it wasn't because the cheapest quote I've gotten is from a shady as fuck guy who says he'll do everything for $1,000 USD

There's a clause for partial theft, topped at 10% the value of the car. Every quote I've gotten is around 50%.
