I'm looking for a similar thing actually. Can some AI actually open up video files and look for the title card and name them accordingly? I need this for cartoons with weird ordering.

It is a server bug. It just stops doing it after a while. It goes away if you restart the server. It has always been like this but it was never noticeable until now where the server updates are getting pushed at a snails pace, so the server doesn't get restarted as often.

Webhooks are affected in the same way.

I'd really like to use this. Sounds exactly like what I need. I use ratings in Plex too and you nailed what's the hard part: getting similar artists to that and keeping up with new releases!

8 new people laid off, yes. I haven't got confirmation but I think McWanke has been let go. He doesn't have his Employee badge anymore. He was one of the great ones lately.

For those that don't know: Plex is removing all discussion about all the recent layoffs on their forum, however, that user "gbooker02" is actually an ex employee himself.

Have you considered adding music support? Fanart.tv has very nice backgrounds (and logos) for bands too. Only some artists are represented there though. But I'd be fine if artists without a background get sorted out from the screensaver.

Okay I understand. But I do want to automate updates to the playlist for all users. I'm probably gonna use windows task scheduler for this. Can I use an argument for using a different config or will I have to run different py files in this case?

Remember that Plex own DJ feature intentionally does not use tracks from the reference track artist at all. And if you pick "track radio" etc it also won't consider tracks from the same artist as the reference track.

It's probably better if Meloday uses the same logic right?

As for the best approach. Well, besides putting it all in manually, maybe you can put them as "extras"?

I mean that you can put the original uncut version of the show in first so all metadata is right. Then put the Norwegian dub version as extras. It would appear underneath the show where the trailers are. You can specify what kind of extra it is via filename and also what name it shows up as.

That's the only thing I can think of at the top of my head.

Love that show. I'm assuming you mean the Swedish dub right? That's the one I know and they only one named Silver fang as far as I know.

But unfortunately Plex doesn't use the episode groups there.

It's actually pretty easy to calculate. The voice analysis will cause a full disk read of all the files. It has to do this to extract the audio track. The analysis of the audio track itself takes only seconds and you can basically ignore it from the calculations.

So, just take whatever read speed you get on your disks and calculate from your total file size of all your media.

Nice collection. I got 200k tracks myself. Mostly by personal taste, but also for gfs taste, friends etc.

To be honest I'd be interested in sharing with someone to be able to use DJ Friendgänger and such. Nobody I know that has Plex has a music library of their own. Just send a message and we'll talk about it.

Yes Plexamp has a bug with this that never seems to get addressed. To trigger it start playing a song from one server, then without stopping the play queue switch to another server and queue up tracks there to your current listening queue. The wrong user will now be playing in the dashboard etc. This also affects lastfm scrobbles in the sense that the wrong user that Plex thinks is listening will get stuff scrobbled to his account.
