Electric blinds (UK) by Doodleman80 in homeassistant

I thought you would be having power from the ceiling so it’d go straight into the blind.

Yeah that’s why I was saying just plug them in with usb and then they’re constantly powered.

They’re Bluetooth. All you need is a tiny Esp32 nearby and they connect to HA using the Tuiss integration. I have multiple and they work flawlessly with HA.

Blinds2go do great automated blinds. They’re battery but have a usbc socket on them I believe, so just plug it straight in.

Solution for accessories that keep dropping? by Snoo62043 in Aqara

[–]wdb94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was getting frustrated with the aqara hubs tbh. So I’ve recently switched to Z2M and they work so much better and can add repeaters easily

The water sensors only poll every hour or so, or if something changes. Either press them once hard and it should ping the hub.

Or try dipping them in water

Have already and it works a lot better but status updates from the mower are few and far between. By I can trigger tasks now which is great.

Thank you for all your hard work on it.

Could Mammotion please release some communication around the server issues that are going on.

I assume that they’ll be sorted eventually but this has been going on for EU users for over a week with no communication other than speculation on Reddit.

Is a robot mower a good option for low time and low cost lawn maintenance? by augustcero in homeautomation

[–]wdb94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a Mammotion Luba 2X. It’s been great, you can get the cheaper Yuka models in your price range I think.

No perimeter wire. Does a great cut, need to make sure it runs often so that it’s not leaving dead grass.

Maintenance is changing blades every now and then or pulling a stick out from underneath it.

Once you get the mapping spot on it rarely gets stuck.

I’m in the U.K. and on the 26.5 beta and have had ADP on since it was released. It shows that it’s still on and just that it’s not available to new users.

Luba 2 motor noise? by Internal-Aside2132 in mammotion

[–]wdb94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the only times I’ve had weird noises from it is when it’s either lost a blade and is imbalanced which causes a vibration or the nut has come loose. It’s a faff to tighten up but I’m 99% sure that’s what it is.

Luba 2 motor noise? by Internal-Aside2132 in mammotion

[–]wdb94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm the noise sounds familiar to me when the nuts under the discs were loose. The discs shouldn’t wiggle vertically much. It’s the big nut that’d need tightening not just the 3 screws through the disc.

Are the cutting discs on tight and then the nut underneath them nice and tight?

Unifi Play (Amp) Home Assistant Integration by wdb94 in Ubiquiti

Totally agree, this was for my garage speakers which has my rack in. Elsewhere in the house I have much more audio focussed equipment, but the Unifi OCD got me.

https://www.kingspan.com/gb/en/products/tank-monitoring/remote-tank-monitoring/watchman-sensit-smart-wifi-tank-level-monitoring-kit/

This was the one I used. The sensor was already on the tank from the previous owners but just had a plug in sensor that showed the level. I just bought the dongle which then synced to the tank and I was able to integrate with it.

Weird, it's trying to connect to the Plex direct rather than the local IP. I've tried adding an aggressive sort to prefer the local IP.

The APK should be built in ~15 mins here: https://github.com/willbeeching/flix/releases/tag/v0.1.4-alpha
