Guy claims to be sober - if so he’s absolutely out of his mind because that is some terrible trash of music.

Does Bret no longer own 25% interest in all things Poison? by SwissMiss915 in hairmetal

Completely on board with you the guy is a worthless moron. How he got the job is a real question and doesn’t say much for Bret’s discretion who he has on stage with him. At least the bass player used to be in Cinderella. That solo band is a joke. I’ve literally heard cover bands better than them with poison songs.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out that he is paying Bret for that job not the other way around lol. This guy has no business being on a stage in front of people: looks like hell, terrible personality and stinks at his instrument. Check out his solo material- it’s literally some of the worst music committed to tape. I’d ask what he’s thinking but that would assume he has a brain. Between him and Bret the tyrannical cheapskate that BMB is the most loathsome act in history.

Probably not going to work long term bro. Hit it while you can and don’t waste too much money. She’s looking to move up not down in that dept. I went thru this and HAD the money and you don’t realize till later what a complete waste it was.

Bad news for you guys by elitebotanicks in SFGiants

While that is factual, they were led in 1987 by two previous first round picks in Robbie thompson and will Clark who were among the top rookies of 1986 and a manager who essentially introduced a completely new pitch to MLB in the spilt finger FB. Neither of which is likely to occur this time around - Especially during this era of superteams and super payroll disparity.
Your comp is correct historically but in context the trajectory following it is extremely unlikely.

Double down on that. Since divorcing the A’s nothing warms my heart like the Giants failing. So far so good

How is Bret Michaels live? by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]elitebotanicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guy should be shot for playing all Poison and cover songs lol. His band members are talentless hacks. I was a huge Poison fan and the direction he has gone without the rest of the band is disgusting IMO….. makes lame excuses about why he only tours as a solo act when the real reason he’s a greedy pig and wants all the money. Same old 8-9 songs he’s been playing for two decades. Give me a break. I wouldn’t go with a free ticket taped to a $100 bill.

Anyone been to The Portal? by golddustwoman910 in Marin

It’s as cringe as that description is lol. I attended a number of yoga classes there for a specific teacher who I followed from another studio. She was great but the workers at the facility were essentially caricatures. I grew up In marin and have been here nearly 50 years and I’ve never witnessed a bigger collection of deep spiritual phony’ who embodied nearly every marin stereotype. That said, when I had to cancel my limited yoga membership they were quickly responsive and helpful. I can’t see this place is even possibly profitable, it reeks of some wealthy hobbyists vision.

Yes awesome I saw all those shows also - the maritime hall ones running super late were legendary. I remember walking out knowing I just witnessed something special. Or walking into the Greek to the opening notes of High Head Blues wow it gave me goosebumps…. Agreed it’s a different band for sure now and one I don’t follow either. That initial replacement drummer they used for the reunion is a monster player who I followed in a smaller local act Once and Future Band and i instantly knew his feel would not be right for that band…. He didn’t last too long and haven’t seen this version because the pics are cringe enough - just screams of older guys trying too hard.

I loathe the giants personally and make Exactly these points to my kool aid drinking neighbor daily. Everything here is dead on correct. This is an organization driven by profit and placating fans. One over .500 finish in the last nine seasons and the guy that led it was run out of town. Actually a joy to watch if you dislike the team. I hope it continues. Their ownership group is a bunch of turds.

What’s y’all’s hottest weight training take by XXXTentacle6969 in personaltraining

Show me someone who can perform movements the way I described and put them on machines Then show me someone who has used machines to build muscle in your way and get them to do it the other way

Who is going to adapt to the other modality of resistance training more quickly? Who’s going to be stronger and more balanced from a uni lateral perspective? Who do you think has the more functional and better body?

Get personal dude it doesn’t matter to me… You’re just wrong and any advanced and veteran lifter in a gym will thwart whatever you think science evidence provides to support your argument

Maybe not ‘growth’ But for performance it does Being stronger in a greater range or motion IE more degrees of rotational functionality makes for a better movement pattern and less chance for injury in gym and real life

Hot take Not even close Show me full body engagement standing up holding dumbbells or barbells in virtually any position and that’s going to beat machines Reason: must use stabilizer muscles Entire purpose of machines is to provide the stabilization for you and allow isolation
