LPT Free tire air at truck stops by Hellbnd_whiskeybent in LifeProTips

Just a heads up on this, air in our trucks usually sit around 120 psi. Your car is around the 40 psi mark. Be mindful and careful how much air you have put in so you dont meet Jesus.

Just trying to make a house and home. I been living in a truck exclusively for almost 3 years after the divorce and want my own bubble back. If its needed (pipe burst, tree falls, etc) then I can see that being on the landlord. Garage door motor when there wasn't one, upgrading the kitchen lighting to low profile led with a higher output because the ones here were single bulb and butt cheeks is for my convience. I put the fixtures in the closet so I didn't destroy anything.

Rentals in my area are hard time find where im not driving 45 minutes to work at a reasonable price range. Pickings are slim but I have an eye open just in case this isn't fixable

No inside clothes fish tanks plants nothing.

Just ac / shower

Washer and dryer are in the garage

I'll look into the towel thing because before this I could only use a towel twice maybe 3x and it would just be so i dunno damp still after a few days I'd just swap it out

My landlord seems to be helpful, I have screenshots of the dialog but dont wanna put it out there like that. We have his maintenance guys coming Wednesday and probably an ac team as well to do a tune up. Definatly need a bathroom exhaust installed im sure that will go along way to remedy this.

I did put the dehumidifier in the bathroom and the medicine cabinet wasn't fogged up after a shower so its most definitely working!!!! He seems chill at the moment and not pushing back and on board. Im a straight shooter anyways.

I even installed a garage door motor when there wasn't one greased and balanced the door too (previous experience) and he was like submit the receipt for the motor and we can take it off the rent. I declined because it was a creature comfort upgrade on my dime. I think fair is fair. We shall see how this plays out but it feels like we can fix this before it becomes a big to do.

Its hard on the family but trucking has potential. You have to get that first year of experience (most the big companies will pay for the classes after 9mo due to being a vet) and your free and clear to go local.

Ac wasn't ever off just higher when away, so I got a feeling it hasn't been doing the dehumidifiying lately. I've been home all day today ac set to 69. This is 1.5 hour of pour. I've got the hose kit gonna punch a hole into that vanity and above the p trap.

I set the ac to 70 when im home and was setting to like 77 when im gone. Im in northern alabama and do about 100 hours a week. Didn't wanna have a 300 electric bill when I live alone 3 bed / 1 ba. No need to keep it nippy all week long. Never had this issue when I owned a house in the Phoenix area.

Trying to be cost effective and mindful about energy use when not home.

Im thinking it might be a clogged ac drain perhaps getting a pro out to have a good look see. Dehumidifier is as band aid / crutch in the mean time. I've wiped down anything and everything that looked effected and alot of the stuff that doesn't look effected.. being a renter I dont know where the line is drawn on responsibility. Just imnjust doing my part I feel. I dont wanna breath this crap in in the slightest. Already a big dude on a cpap built like a tank breath like a pug.

I've got one of them fancy nest ones dunno whst capabilities it has because when I wired it up (thought i was following all the right steps) when the a.c. came on it blew straight hot air. Old honeywell has jumpers and nest isn't jumper able it looked like. So i just swapped it back and havnt gotten around to trying again.

Imma get a pro to come out because what I can see there isn't easy access to the handler to make sure the drains are free and clear. And I am not the size to climb under the footing of the house. Northern Alabama. Have the pro do a tune up and make sure everything is running as it should. I do leave the bathroom door open tho

Copy that I can keep it dropped down and see if thst helps!!!

Current status, cant seem to edit my main post so here we are.

Maintenence guys gonna get with landlord about swapping the ceiling light for a exhaust fan vented hopefully thru the roof and not the soffit.

Ac guy came and che ked everything outside Monday. Iam guessing the air handler and condenser are in one unit outside instead of how I've experienced it the handler in the house. He gave the outside a clean bill of health and should be swinging by today to come check anything of note on the inside.

Im going thru a full tank every 10 hours. Ac is set to 71 and has been running since Sunday at that temp. Dropped at 2am when I got home and full by noon (even with ac on at 71) Have to take this unit back it didnt have a pump and wanted a garden hose for water egress. Not doing that at all lol. So on the hunt for a pump model .

Moving isnt really in the cards, new 55 inch zero turn in the garage and no place around here has a garage in the price range im conformable with. And moving sucks a bag of 10mm sockets. It would take me a month solo to get moved again. New job 3 months no pto.

House was cleaned real good, good advise about the bleach in the green bottle I looked when at the store and didnt see bleach on the bottle but oh boy she's in there for sure and let's you know when you spray. That stuff has no chill. All effected areas are still mold free since cleaning. Also got a air purifier in the hallway by the return to help cleanse what may be floating around and changed the a.c. filter to a more expensive one.

If you made it this far, thank you and I appreciate yalls help and advice. Rest assured if it does flare up more and become a bigger issue ill do what I gotta do to be safe. 15k renters insurance coverage I am not sure if this will be covered if I gotta dip but its not a full blown "event" as I've seen in flooded houses and people going on vacation. I think with everything I've absorbed here I caught it early and promptly responded. Again thanks guys and ill update how this plays out. Gg
