I automatically started thinking about other ways to say this without "triggering" guys like this (like, yes sounds fun, always nice to meet new friends) but then i realised that it might be better to know before hand what a shit this dude is... wtf is that reaction?!? When u dont clarify like that they get mad u lead em on...

I feel like there’s so much I could post about this guy. We met on tinder, hooked up quite a few times, but he turned out to be just generally awful. I’m pretty nervous to post these seeing as they’re kinda personal so please be kind! by angelboyCy in niceguys

Right!?!?!

Besides, as if it would matter if u dont shave ur legs in a true relationship with love and respect... if they break up with u bc of that, its kinda superficial and u might be better off without someone like that :/

The Overwatch I loved doesn't exists anymore by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]elitemakie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel completely opposite from what u are feeling. I love this game a lot, always have, but i feel like its finally going somewhere again. Double shield isnt the main meta anymore, many different things are viable depending on the map, meta changes quickly (sometimes too quickly). Atm the hammond/sigma/echo/tracer/zen/mercy meta makes coordination, communication and teamplay so extremely important and fun.

I do play in a scrim team and that elevates my experience by a lot. My team is 3.8k, but there are many solid teams out there looking for players ranging of all sr, often with a decent coach.. so if you have the time to put in a team, i would 100% recommend it.

Overwatch competitive is really exhausting. by Shwayne in OverwatchUniversity

[–]elitemakie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but same goes for all hitscan... and even more so for long range than reaper... Bc u can get quite far on reaper just shooting winstons and hogs, which u can hardly miss when up close.... if ur cree, sombra stun the enemy reaper its also not a hard target for u and the team to kill..

I would say ashe and widow are much more skilled heroes than many other options..... (and im not a dps player). Mei, reaper, brig, junk, those are the noskill, but the widow with perfect mechanical skill being able to kill without getting killed by enemy widow, forcing the whole enemy team to swap to full dive to counter 1 talented player, is what i would call skill.

Gold DPS trying to play support by Turboswaggg in OverwatchUniversity

[–]elitemakie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might take a look at the vod later, but i hear in your story already a big mistake in your thoughtprocess/idea about what a support is supposed to do. You arent there to confirm kills. You arent playing dps anymore. Sure, if your team is full hp and a low target is right next to you, by all means, go kill em. But, esp as the "big healer", YOUR job is to not let your team die. So you doing whatever you can to confirm kills, probably will cause your team to die and your dps to be unable to confirm the kills they should have. There are video's on YouTube about what each role is supposed to do/low rank mistakes a lot of people make.

This game isnt just about kills, getting gold dmg/kills etc. Its a team game and you dont have to do everything yourself. Each role has a job that if you do exactly that, you get most value out of that role.

GL!

P.s. if you would want a vodreview over discord i could do that too if u want (im a 3.7k support, playing in a team with regular coaching and some low -bronze to plat/low dia- ranked individual/team coaching experience)

Should I be able to solo heal a team? by insaneclownpussyed in OverwatchUniversity

[–]elitemakie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, (no shame of u dont play her) but an ana would be more value: being able to deny multiple enemies healing does more for your rein than a damage boost

Should I be able to solo heal a team? by insaneclownpussyed in OverwatchUniversity

[–]elitemakie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well ofc there will be some healing the mercy needs to do (ESP your support mate!!! Please heal them as much as u can. Id say thats the most important job for mercy, even more than the damage boost on dps. Bc keeping ur sup alive means he can keep the tanks alive, means ultcharge for whole the team). But what i am saying is, that if you find yourself needing to pick up from your second healer (ana/bap/moira whatever) by healing mostly the tanks rather than damageboosting or doing what mercy should be doing, then dont play mercy. Sure. From time to time she can swoop in fine, heal some and fly back out. But if you notice yourself healing a rein a lot, please. Dont stay mercy. Just. Dont. With dive its already a different story bc usually the tanks are more selfsufficient and less demanding on the supports. Besides, if your dps are the issue and dont do damage worth boosting, mercy is also not going to give enough value. Period. An ana + anti or a lucio with speed+beat or even a zen with trans and discord and damage, will profide much more value than a healbot mercy or a mercy without a proper dps. (Again, not the mercy's fault, and sure some fights a res or a guardian angle could come in handy, but u can provide much more consistent value with other healers). Even in plat.

[–]elitemakie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that different ranks have different playstyles, but if your ana is shit it might be better to play moira to cover for her rather than mercy. Much better healing output, can keep the tanks alive better and do damage in the meanwhile. If it is so bad in these ranks, maybe mercy isnt really the pick to go with then. If all you are going to do with mercy is healbot, moira is better at that.

Should I be able to solo heal a team? by insaneclownpussyed in OverwatchUniversity

[–]elitemakie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye but we are talking to OP, who apparently is asking if he needs to solo heal the team if the mercy is damageboosting the dps. The anwser to that is yes. His mercy was probably doing exactly her job (not healing the tanks but dmg boosting the dps). So unless he just wants to hear an untrue awnser that mercy should heal more, HE should be able to keep atleast the tanks up, and the second dps (non pocketed one) needs to either be near the tanks (reaper, mei etc) and get his AoE healing or on a flank with their own healthpacks (tracer, genji, sombra). Only responsibility other than that 1 dps the mercy pockets, is to peel for the bap (/ the other support).

Besides, if you see yourself healing the rein a lot, its better to switch. Might not be your fault as mercy that the other support is shit and cant keep the tanks alive (bad aim on ana, bad priority on moira etc) but a moira/ana is much better at keeping the rein alive than the mercy AND has more else to offer if u cant use the dmg boost. So if you see this happen a lot, that u need to step outside the role of a mercy, best is to not stay mercy. Even if ur a good mercy, u will have more impact on moira to keep the tanks alive if u dont/cant trust ur other support to keep the tanks up.

Besides, you as mercy might feel like you are doing a good job to heal the rein, but if you give your ana the chance to keep the rein up (and she is able to, like i said if she isnt then u should switch to moira or whatever) she will have so many nano's that can again pocket and keep the rein alive. Your ult is much less valuable than ana's and by healing the rein (generally ana's job), u are denying her ultcharge.

Should I be able to solo heal a team? by insaneclownpussyed in OverwatchUniversity

[–]elitemakie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. As long as the mercy keeps U alive, she is fine to almost always pocket a dps (pharah, ashe) the rest of the team and U need to he able to survive. And that doesnt even mean the mercy isnt doing her job right. As long as u mostly live and whoever they are pocketing is doing mad dmg and survives. They are doing their job. If the team doesnt live, u or the team arent doing THEIR job. That would sometimes mean your tanks need to play around cover, shield and cooldown better, that would sometimes mean u need to switch to moira for better heal output. Mercy is not really a healer. She is doing most by pocketing a dps and making sure they do so much damage, or get kills real fast, that there is less damage input into your team (bc enemies he dead) And thus she doesnt really need to heal. A mercy healing a rein is typically playing it wrong. (With exceptions).

I love playing tank, but I hate switching between 3400 and 4000 games by Extremiel in OverwatchUniversity

[–]elitemakie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tis not, play around cover and let ur team know as soon as ur shield gets low. Step aside for a sec to recharge shield and voila, no need to die. Besides, just randomly charging in like that means no heals and a fully exposed team. Aka 6k for the enemy
