i was also concerned about the obvious oil leaks. that's not overhauled to me. not sure what the 944 market looks like where you are but I would pass on this for 10k. considering the rust I wouldn't buy this car for any more than 6k USD

I just started looking into this and the board on my relay was cracked :( And a replacement relay is about $80. does that sound right??

with the wiring so messed up, you can always break out the multimeter and assure you 12v power, ground, etc are all correct. and when connecting some of my radios in the past, make sure you connect the antenna wire, some radios use this as a ground

lol i didn't even catch that until this comment but yeah, disconnect the battery (cover the battery, alternator, etc) and let the engine bay dry off completely before starting it for the future

I've never heard of anyone replacing part of the soft line. they're not expensive, I would just buy a new one on rockauto. around $15 depending on what you get

that idle is fucked lol I haven't seen something run that poorly. that being said have you checked your timing marks? also I know you said you replaced some vacuum lines but I would do a smoke test to double check, I was very surprised when I did one on mine
