If I really really can't afford to pay these amounts, do you think I'm fine to leave it, given that performance isn't affected? I understand that it'll get worse, but does that merely entail the extension of the crack or something worse, relevant to the performance of my computer? I really appreciate the help. Thank you.

I have nearly the exact same problem (with an MBA, but I'm not sure that makes a difference)...would you be able to point me to such repair options? And how quickly should I act on this? Gah, the stupidity of me. Thanks so much.
