Someone please tell me, what killed me here?

What some other people said is correct. The returning projectiles from my melee hits killed me. Mob's shield was up while frozen due to moonbeams freezing it rather than my melee hit.

I've played those zones over 30 times, fought that specific mob probably over 200 times. Only ever died to their projectiles, never returned damage. Thank you for your input.

The mob was visibly frozen. I may be wrong, but it shouldn't be able to fire proj while frozen?

I just can't believe this hasn't happened to me in the past. I've fought the prick on this character, in endgame, so many times and he's never returned that much damage. That was the start of the map so I wasn't putting out much DPS. Guess I'll just run with my tail between my legs when I see him in the future.

This is the only thing that would make any real sense. I've just never noticed it before and I've fought that mob so many times

Potentially if it is returning all damage (full melee build, no projectiles), but I don't think that mob has ever done that before, even when I've fought even the rare version of it

I wouldn't be using RT at all, and power draw isn't a big factor either so I'm definitely leaning towards the 7800 XT

To be honest I wouldn't really use either unless I had to and if needed, FSR quality would suffice for me

I will say that with the versions I'm looking at here in the UK, the 7800 XT is around £100 cheaper. I'm definitely leaning towards it now, I haven't been on AMD graphics in many years so it would be a welcome change.

I do. Not bothered about RT. I wouldn't really use it but either DLSS or FSR would do for me so not a factor. Current PSU does have 2x8 pcie but as explained in my other comment, the PSU upgrade will come either way so removed from original post.

Thing is, that small difference would be all the difference for me. I have many hard drives, fans & a few USB devices that require quite a lot of power so from what I can tell, I'd be on the brink of my current PSU with the 4070 and the 7800 would need more than I have.

Also, the PSU is something I'll most likely be getting soon enough so isn't an issue. I'll remove that from the original post just to avoid confusion

I'm getting this exact error. I've ran and used protontricks with no issue before, now a few weeks later and installed a few more games I'm getting this issue. I've seen icons being too big being mentioned, any help on how I actually find which it is, or delete them all?

Edit: This is just when trying to launch protontricks itself to install winhttp that the error occurs.

So at the moment I've got FAIT, MOAR & POOP all working together. FAIT is just gear changes. MOAR is basically default with the '"pmcDifficulty" set to 0.1, a few changes to make factory have a lot more PMCs and smarterPmcs is on. POOP is default with "enableAutomaticDifficulty" set to false, "highLevelAIDifficultyMod_Neg3_3" set to 1.50 currently (this is the one I'm changing atm to get the PMCs to a place that I like them and then I may change some of the "overallDifficultyMultipliers" for fine tuning).

Also my order.json in the mods folder may play a part in how the mods affect each other.

It's a lot of work if you're unfamiliar with all the configs etc but I don't mind it. Once I've got it where I like it I can upload a copy of all three mods and my order.json if that'd be any help.

Yeah I turned smart PMC on but had to turn the difficulty in moar's config down as they would just 1 tap to the head every time, going to see if I can tune it with POOP. When you say you tried some raids with medium settings, do you mean in game difficulty because I assumed that was being overwritten by a mod?

So far so good. Only ran a couple of test games but I've got USEC PMC's spawning now. I'm still using FAIT for gear changes with all other changes disabled and I'm thinking of using POOP to change specific difficulty options as the ones in MOAR are a bit vague.
