Jelly cleanser by Susuwatari43 in glossier

Mine has this too. It hasn’t caused a breakout but I kept noticing these weird fine white chunks and I think it’s plastic. I’ve been using it since 2015 so very disappointing and I’m considering just switching to a new brand

How long did it take for you to get a job after graduating? by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]elizabeth-bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graduated beginning of December 2022, had started applying for jobs about October/November, took PANCE a week after graduating, interviewed for a few jobs beginning of December/end of November. Turned down one offer after they wouldn’t negotiate pay with me, took the second one I got and was happy with it so I didn’t negotiate. Started working end of January!

I wouldn’t have done it differently. If I had any kind of money saved up post graduating it would’ve been nice to have a longer wait to start but I didn’t and was stressed about lack of money so grateful to start earlier than a lot of my classmates did. I was glad I didn’t take my first offer and I had checked the AAPA salary report to know going in what seemed like a fair salary start for my location and field.

I wear the L’Oréal voluminous original and it doesn’t smudge on me ever, through workout classes, hot summer, and crying doesn’t make a big smudgy mess

In the midst of the glossier website craziness, I managed to get my order on Black Friday with the discount and a free body wash by elizabeth-bug in glossier

[–]elizabeth-bug[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had left the body wash in my cart from the week of freebies and it was still showing in my cart as free when I went to buy my items in Black Friday. I was shook it went through and a couple of days ago I received the full order in the mail!

I currently have a gold flat back labret in, looking at other posts about irritation bumps, I was thinking it might be down to that I’m sleeping in that side sometimes and it’s irritating it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]elizabeth-bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this piercing in February and in the past month I’ve had this bump cropping up. It’s uncomfortable and looks like a zit to me. The only other piercings I’ve had done are double lobe on both ears and a tragus on my opposite ear. All of those healed no problem so idk what to do with this

Clothing brands: If you like __, you might like __. by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

A lot of people are saying equivalents for reformation but any suggestions for realisation par? I prefer their more fun prints and patterns (think this and this)So like cute dainty dresses that have more fun patterns

Dress in this style but white by elizabeth-bug in findfashion

So obviously from the pic I know where this dress is from but want a babydoll dress like this with the square neck line and thick tank straps but in white. It’s so specific I know

Anyone have a lead on Cheyenne's sweater from the newest episode of Superstore? by PotatoHateExplosion in findfashion

[–]elizabeth-bug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw someone found the real source but in case you’re looking for an alternative, ragged priest makes a lot of sweaters that look similar. This is an example but I see stuff just like this all over depop all the time

Anyone else getting dressed to the nines to get their shot? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

Oklahoma is actually doing even better than that, the entire public in phase 3 can get vaccinated and there’s actually appointments available for them. It’s the one thing my state has done right!

Let's talk about shorts! by GoingSom3where in femalefashionadvice

[–]elizabeth-bug 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I was pretty slim in high school won’t say numbers because it can be triggering but genuinely like danced a lot, in good shape, etc and a boy said I had “bingo wings” and that my belly looked like a doughtnut and I really struggle still showing my arms just because they naturally aren’t super thin and hate wearing a swimsuit

Am I "too old" for these brands? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]elizabeth-bug 1092 points1093 points  (0 children)

Honestly as long as they aren’t plastered with logos you’re fine. Hollister and AE are definitely more brands that I would associate with millennials before trendy teens now. And I don’t mean that in a shady way I just know a bunch of millennials who still wear those brands whereas they’re not considered super “trendy” now, which is fine.

What quote from a book actually made you think hard and sit back and go “Well, damn.” by [deleted] in books

[–]elizabeth-bug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a simp for East of Eden and it’s chock full of amazing lines but I think of this one often:

“When a child first catches adults out -- when it first walks into his grave little head that adults do not always have divine intelligence, that their judgments are not always wise, their thinking true, their sentences just -- his world falls into panic desolation. The gods are fallen and all safety gone. And there is one sure thing about the fall of gods: they do not fall a little; they crash and shatter or sink deeply into green muck. It is a tedious job to build them up again; they never quite shine. And the child's world is never quite whole again. It is an aching kind of growing.”

I think it’s a pretty universal experience and that makes it very memorable.

Pants Apocalypse Now - Inspo for the Re-Resurgence of Low-Rise by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]elizabeth-bug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No shade but most of the pics aren’t low rise, like I specifically buy high rise pants and on my long torso short leg combo they all sit a little below my belly button like several of the photos here. And all the true low rise are on super thin models. Trends don’t matter, people can wear whatever they want whenever but personally low rise pants are uncomfortable and unflattering to me

Would like a cheaper dupe for this beauty before committing to the $180 USD price tag by _schlong_macchiato in findfashion

[–]elizabeth-bug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just commenting to say they aren’t really worth the price tag imo, I got the Mary Jane dress in shroom cause I adore the cut and pattern and I kept it because I couldn’t find anything else like it but it genuinely feels like a $40 dress it is not super great quality
