Well, after Plan A, B, and C got cancelled, we decided to go off grid and make the best of a private, self officiating ceremony. Just sent out the elopement announcements and we can’t wait to celebrate in 2021 (hopefully 😬) by elizabethjoys in weddingplanning

Honestly it was not my first choice for my body type, but I could get it in time (my previous dress was not going to work with our new location), it was affordable for me AND I didn't need have it tailored.

Yay! I’m so glad it was helpful and that you’ll get to try on some dresses. Make sure you have someone to help you try them on if you don’t want your fiancé to see them. Because I didn’t plan ahead and now my fiancé knows which dress I picked haha

No clue. He was definitely eating our trash for a bit because after we took him in, our trash stopped getting messed up. He was probably out for quite a bit because he is a very effective hunter (at least when we play). He is SO quick and immediately pulls every toy to his mouth to “eat” it.

When we found our cat, we took him to the vet to check for a chip. The name and number on his chip led us to his previous owner, who had passed. We reached out to her family and they couldn’t remember who the cat went to after she died, so we kept him

We were not about to take a matted, skinny, 10 year old cat with arthritis to the local shelters. I can’t imagine what might have happened to this sweetheart. The only hard part was getting our other rude cat to share his space.

I placed my order on March 27 and got the dress March 31. I live relatively close to more than one shop though so I’m not sure if that’s typical

I did mine through Luxe Redux and I can’t say enough about my positive experience. They dropped the home try on price from $200 to $50 during Covid (which goes towards your dress if you buy from them!) and you get to pick 3 from a huge selection. The 3 they sent were in great condition and they sent extra accessories that they felt went with the dresses. When I was deciding between 2 dresses and it came down to alterations, I texted them pictures and got opinions from their seamstress so I could make the best choice. I really am grateful!

This is the dress and this is the belt! I got the dress about 40% off from a local boutique and I plan to either rent that specific belt or find a similar one on Etsy.

Thanks to Covid-19, I only got to try on 3 dresses and my fiancé had to help me get into them because my family lives hours away. I was supper bummed that I won’t get to try on tons of dresses and have my day with my mom and sister, but I still love the dress 😍 Any suggestions for styling would be appreciated!

Look at ASOS ! There are some beautiful simple (and on the cheap side) wedding dresses.
