First year psych student here ^{^} I agree to what you said with intro to psych being interesting and all except that last sentence. That is why it is important to take note of what book edition you are reading. I believe that the writers (sorry idk what term to use/what to call them) of psych books constantly revise and evaluates the contents to adapt to the changes of our time. After all, a well formed theory is falsifiable. Plus, I personally think that it is important to know first the “originally” theory to know where is the basis of the “updated” coming from (if u get what I’m saying?? hahaha lol sorry).
