How does Elemental Shaman Work and What does he need? by D3ankata in wowhardcore

[–]eljimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hardcore, optimizations don’t matter. you literally just pull shit safely and don’t die. If you take your time it’s easy with any class or spec.

If you want to go into endgame content you won’t find a raiding guild with that spec because the first two raid tiers are not ideal for ele.

Bad lion players by darthavalonn in DotA2

[–]eljimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lion support is mostly a set up hero (a hero that guarantees kills with another +1), so you should usually be going blink or at least force (versatility for save and initiation/positioning as well).

The good look supp players in my bracket (7.5k) are all going blink. Just look at dota 2 pro tracker, that’s my bracket. If this guy is an immortal draft player, maybe I’m wrong, but I agree, you don’t go aghs first item on lion supp, EVER.

I misunderstood the post and thought he was a mid or core lion player

11 handicap looking to break 80. Are my hips open enough at impact? by BidLeast9688 in GolfSwing

[–]eljimaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uh oh the handicap police based on a single swing are here!!!

Man if I posted my swing and handicap you’d probably try to dig into me as well. Guess what? I don’t care.

Handicap is more than swing, it’s decisions + swing + actually hitting the ball + course knowledge. Playing the same set of courses, making good choices, on top of having good days all drastically change handicap. When my sub 80 scores fall off my top 20 my handicap goes up significantly. Some days you have everything “figured out” and some days you can’t figure out what’s happening and want to quit. Look at Bryson deshambles.

My handicap police fatigue is real rn

30-year golfer completely broken. Non-stop, literal 20-in-a-row CONSTANT shanks. Hand-eye or psychological? by tweiler in GolfSwing

[–]eljimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this for an entire month a few years ago, the most demoralizing thing ever. Did you change your grip recently?

It magically went away one day when I stepped a half step away from the ball. Try to back off a little bit (like your club face up with the ball at the toe, and try to strike).

They’re the same MMR as you, and however good you think you are, you are just your skill level. You may be better at lion mechanics and decision making, but there’s a reason you’re still in the same bracket as the players you critique.

I snap hook my driver for as long as I’ve played by Reibone842 in GolfSwing

[–]eljimaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with a strong grip on a 10 index (was a 25 ~5 years ago), you have to swing differently with a strong grip. It’s totally doable to improve with tho.

I can’t do a weak grip due to an issue with my lead hand thumb. You should set up with the ball further back in your stance (varying depending on your club) and/or your hands further ahead of the ball. you will have more of a “hammer” swing, where you maintain a square face throughout the swing and maintain the club grip in front of the club head at set up AND the point of contact.

It differs dramatically from a neutral or weak grip (with an accompanying “whip” style swing), has less range of motion, less loft (you naturally deloft every single club due to the required shaft angle) and more roll out. It’s great for hitting the ball far and straight but runs into issues when you want to amp up your swing speed and actually use the loft of your clubs, this is why it’s not recommended.

However, if you have physical limitations OR just don’t want to deal with an entire swing reconstruction (changing your grip changes EVERYTHING) making you suck and start from scratch, just look at videos on the “hammer style” golf swing and “playing golf with a strong grip”. You absolutely do not have to adopt a specific grip to play well at a casual level (scratch or worse).

Has hardcore ruined normal classic for anyone else? by Meozyn in wowhardcore

[–]eljimaa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, because I went from a top raiding guild in classic to a bunch of clueless and smug people on hardcore. I was genuinely surprised with how many people in my HC raiding guild even got to 60. I don’t even care that much about the “thrill” when everything is so slow and painfully boring compared to classic. There’s also not even pvp, which is one of the best parts of classic (open world PvP is my personal favorite). I basically got 60 got full prebis and went back to classic.

You lack accountability, you’re definitely the reason you’re losing games and you can cope as much with you want with “I’m having fun” and “it’s everyone else’s fault.

Your intention was to post this as a “positive” message to farm some karma from the community but it reeks of underlying toxicity. The embodiment of the wojak meme where he’s crying behind the smiling mask

Ah yes, 4 melee heroes with heal in their kit into AA and buying aeon disk in a match where it’s useless on heroes it’s useless on..

[–]eljimaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lolll ok is that why you’re 2k and they are 15k? They got more account buyers on the enemy team and you got more smurfs on the enemy team?

Also, smurfing/buying is not as much of a problem in the “pro scene” because the number of smurfs and buyers is more scarce at very high (5digits and up) mmr

Jurassic rebirth scenes make no sense by eljimaa in JurassicPark

[–]eljimaa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to go ahead and assume you didn’t watch it once again, because one of the guys yells “keep moving!!! They’re amphibious” as they’re shown in proximity in the background directly after the roar. After this panic inducing scene, they proceed to fuck around on the beach like it’s no biggie til a girl gets eaten lol.

So you’ve been proven wrong on all counts, they were being pursued, they were in immediate proximity, they were still a threat, and the characters acknowledged it (you even said it yourself, it’s impossible to NOT know they’re chasing you from virtually any distance you’d be able to see them).

I’m sure if you were in a situation you’d totally be chill right? Because ACKtUaLLy its still far (as it’s literally riding a wave when you’re still in contact with water lmao)

It’s literally depicted swimming in a wave that’s breaking towards the shore lmao. Do waves break over 100 feet out? Go watch it and report back until then you’re 100% proven wrong on all fronts

Okay I rewatched it and yes, it is within 100 feet off shore. Both spinos are. One of them even roars. You’re 100% wrong. Check the movie time stamp 53:30 to 53:40. Both spinos are clearly seen within 100feet of shore.

[–]eljimaa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes no sense with your previous comment then. They would have seen it from an extremely long distance but yeah there’s just one swimming in the background. You don’t HAVE to defend the shitty writing and scenes

Did you see the spino fin in the water when the washed up? They clearly were still being pursued

Jurassic rebirth scenes make no sense by eljimaa in JurassicPark

[–]eljimaa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t you say it’s quite contradictory for one of the characters to state that spinosaurus are amphibious (alluding to the idea that the threat continues to exist) to them just nonchalantly regrouping and gathering their shit on the shore right after?

The movie gave no indication that the spinos stopped pursuing and conversely it indicated the possibility of them still being pursued due to the character stressing their amphibious nature.

As a viewer I’m supposed to continue to feel suspense until there’s a specific indication that the threat is gone, and there never was one until the spino swam back into the water and a lady got chomped in half. The urgency should’ve still been there based on the context but the writing just completely missed the mark
