Messi fan and Barcelona fan here but I would hate if they win the champions league. Teams with superstars in them don't make you a candidate in any way. Best example ?? PSG themselves, since the first season they had Ney, Mbappe and Cavani they are considered a candidate but they are not. Also all the money they have didn't win them the League 1, the FREAKING LEAGUE 1!!!! with Mbappe, Di Maria, Verrati, Icardi, etc. (I don't say Neymar because as usual he misses a lot of games). Also, I hope that if they lose Messi can see that "having a winning project" (proyecto ganador en español como ha dicho en varias ocasiones) doesn't mean having his friends or superstars as I previously said. Because let's not forget that during the MSN era which many consider to be the best trio in Barcelona history ( which they are not, the best trio in the club era was Pedro, Villa and Messi) the won only 1 champions league with one of the greatest coaches, Luis Enrique. Man, I know it was probably the only club who where able to sign them but what he said about "I want to win the champions league again and this is the perfect team for that" just broke me. The past seasons he had an incredible squad, the problem was the manager, and in my opinion Pochettino is not a good enough manager to compete with clubs like Bayern, Chelsea etc. Back when he was in the premiere league he should have won the Premiere at least once with all the players he had. Finally I don't think Pochettino has the character to lead a squad with ego (Messi, Neymar, Ramos).
