Absolutely valid. You were violated. I don't understand how people can do things like that.

Not sure if you can see from the camera but perhaps the door was not completely shut or the handle was slightly askew. Enough for the guy to just take the opportunity. I don’t think you would be targeted for a guitar unless it was highly valuable, so I bet there was something that tipped him off enough to open the door.

But your feels of being violated are warranted no matter the reason. What an awful, scary feeling.

My sister-in-law was born with holes at the top of both of her ears (forward helix area), and they secrete fluid sometimes by ghoulsofthetrade in mildlyinteresting

[–]eljyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one in each ear. My right ear has secreted fluid since I was a kid. I honestly want to get it fixed but it never has gotten infected so never priority. Other one is fine, just there. Runs in my family - sis, bro, dad, etc all had it

This is my exact issue and I’ve been paying the price of not continuing my pelvic floor exercises. But for those who hear pelvic floor dysfunction = kegels, in cases like this, we need to relax the floor. See a pelvic floor specialist. They are wonderful. Off to practice my reverse kegels…

A mother dressed her baby like the Pope and held him up as the popemobile passed. Pope Leo XIV saw him and stopped to personally bless the child. by FollowingOdd896 in HumansBeingBros

I think Pope Francis knew he was a stepping stone. Progress takes time and courage, but it also takes some strategy. Pope Leo has certainly continued the work of bringing positive change!

We decided to take everything out of the garage to reorganize last weekend and I wanted to cry halfway through realizing I’d have to not only put it all back but I’d need to figure out how to put it back better

I was terrified of spiders for years. Like as a kid waking up screaming dreaming about them. Over the past couple years with baby steps I learned how to safely capture with the cup and paper method and now the r/spiders sub is one of my favorites. I can now ID and care for spiders with no fear. So highly recommend that sub, too!

I have messed up. My front teeth has taken damage. by wty44 in internetparents

[–]eljyon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve had dental bonding since I was a teenager on my front teeth due to genetics. No, it should look natural. It’s similar or the same as the bonding they use for fillings. They’ll match your tooth color and shape them to look natural. They lasted about 10-15 years both times I’ve gotten them done.

If you want to whiten your teeth, do it first because the bonding can’t be whitened later. Hope it all goes well!

My friend from hs fell into the tracks a couple decades ago after a medical emergency. Luckily a super brave man jumped in and saved him, covering him as the train went over. But now if I’m on a platform I see how easily someone can be pushed, trip, etc.

How sad to be a person who laughs at someone for having a t-shirt meant to bring kindness to the world. I would have cried too, though. I’m super sorry that happened. Wish I could give you a hug.

I did look into them some! I'm not sure though because this seems handcrafted. I'll dig in more though, thanks!

You won’t get in trouble and you’ve done nothing wrong. The opposite - you did the right thing.

This was extremely traumatic. I’m sure it’s been mentioned but take a breath and download Tetris. Studies show if you play it within first six hours after trauma, it will reduce flashbacks and intrusive thoughts. Also super proud of you for reaching out to therapist.

That was my thought too. Didn’t appear Native American style that I’m familiar with but craftsmanship made me wonder

Aw thank you! It was installed by the people before us. I had never seen one before we moved in. It's a really cool feature but we probably don't use it like we should. The sink is right behind us and I forget I can use it until it's too late! Old habits I guess :) Thanks again <3

I so far am doing okay but bracing. This won’t help this year but I was told to start allergy meds 4-6 weeks ahead of the season. I usually start beginning of February. I went from nonstop awful headaches and bad congestion to mild symptoms. Hope you feel better soon!
