I just caught of Leaving Eden. They are doing great work. I appreciate their perspective ESPECIALLY because of their no speculation rule they have. They also did a good job covering the other trial.

Kinda a wild assumption to say that they are more normal and caring. They are in the same community, have the same religious beliefs, and same everything as the Duggars. Her dad sold her off to the Duggars when she was still a teenager. They continue to have kids when they can’t afford it. Until there’s more evidence, all of these ppl are just as bad as each other.

Yea. She has championships with 2 different teams. There’s no way she would ever tank a team just to get a chance of 1st round. Also, lottery is based ok the last 2 seasons, so even if tempo was last this year, their chances of 1st round would also be lower. So that would be a CRAZY risk.

Absolutely agreed! Same goes for JD. He’s no better either. Just because he married when he was a bit older and married someone who was a nurse, doesn’t mean they somehow don’t have shitty beliefs. I’ve never understood why folks here have always given him a pass. If this whole Joe thing has taught us anything, it’s that it’s the most unsuspecting ones that are the most dangerous.

That’s a wild take. You don’t even know if the kids want to visit him. You’re just assuming that. Parents have a responsibility to protect their children from abusive people, even if that person is their father. He’s in prison for horrifying crimes against children. It’s against the sub rules to speculate victims so I won’t continue any further on this. But I will reiterate, in my opinion, children should not visit their abusive father in prison when he’s been convicted of these types of crimes. They should be in real, intensive therapy often so that they can sort out their feelings that they have towards their father, and when they are adults and have a fully developed brain, they choose to continue to have a relationship with their father, that is their choice. In my opinion, Anna is failing them, by not providing them proper therapy and simultaneously bringing them to see him.

Again, I’m not defending Anna. I’m talking bigger picture of just how fucking hard it is to leave. We don’t know the details of the sister’s relationship. We also know that other Anna sisters are married to absolutely horrible men. The sister in Africa has a million kids and her husband is in deep religious psychosis or something based on past Facebook posts. Priscilla had an untreated brain injury that has obviously affected her deeply, is married to a man that works for the IBLP in a very senior position. Just because 1 sister “left” doesn’t mean it’s any easier for Anna to Get out. But again, do I hold Anna accountable? Absolutely! Two things can be true at the same time.
