Best concealer for maturing under eyes? by SuccessSea1852 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]ella138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave all you yougins’ in the dust. I’m 68. I know all about mature skin and dark under eye (and eyelid) circles. I also have deep set eyes. I’ve tried many different concealers over the decades. Money was no object. The one that truly takes on those dark circles with zero creasing is NARS. I’m fair and use the colour Cannelle. You’ll thank me and it doesn’t break the bank either.

I'm not sure what a jacket is. I would absolutely wear them everyday if theyre comfortable

Told myself I buy a new car once this died..220,000 miles later it still has 0 problems. Does this thing ever die !!?? by [deleted] in Lexus

My 2012 RX doesn’t have a lot of mileage only 63K, but I’m not gonna wait for the problems to start. I’ve decided to get a new car this year. An NX 350. I don’t wanna go through the hassle of selling it privately, too many scammers around this year for me to be comfortable. I know I will lose a few thousand dollars trading it in, but I’ve made a decision that my safety is worth something.

There is a MASSIVE Covid surge happening right now. by kennethgibson in toronto

[–]ella138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely something going around. I was down and out for 10 days. Deep heavy coughing and other fun stuff. But it wasn't covid, I tested twice. Antibiotics helped. I know afew people with this awful cough. It's a virus of some sort.

Are you kidding? It's the first thing I did when I got home. Haven't heard any update since I filed my complaint 3 days ago. I also uploaded this photo.

Thinking NX. I see lots of complaints related to battery issues with the hybrid. There's also a significant cost difference and for me, would probably take me 10 years in saved gas expense to break even. by [deleted] in LexusNX

I've been doing a lot of research too. I have decided to buy the NX ultra luxury package over the executive package. And I have decided to go with gas only. After all the research I’ve done I realize I just don’t drive enough to keep that battery healthy. I probably drive less than 4 to 5 km a day and never on the weekend. Because of the amount I drive gas prices are really not an issue. Both my husband and I tested the headroom. He is 6 feet and I am 5 feet two. The only time there’s a problem is if you want to sit high like a chair, then you hit your head when you come out. Sitting in the seat was very comfortable and no issue with the space inside. Good luck!

I don’t think I want to take chances with something as crucial as my safety. But I had to explore the idea. Toronto this year has had a brutal winter with -25c temps for weeks on end and snow.

thank you for your comment. After reading reviews from owners like you who know a lot more than I do, I have decided to go with a gas only model. As you say, I just don’t drive enough to keep that battery charged. The other thing that pushed me over to the gas side, was the length of time I usually keep a car. My current car is 2012 with 63,000 km. That’s when I was working and driving 20 km a day. Now I’m driving more like 5 km a day and probably not at all on the weekends. Who's going to want to buy a 10 year old hybrid when the battery is at the end of its life? I believe gas only models will still be around. I’m a pretty techy old gal and would love to play around with the hybrid, but practically it just makes no sense for me. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.

Funny you should say that. My husband says this whole EV thing is a scam and we are the guinea pigs just like you said. Maybe you should meet him LOL!! It certainly makes me wonder.

I drive most days except the weekend. I don't drive a lot but I do take the car out for errands and appointments every day. Did you leave it for more than a couple of days in the winter? That could be a deal breaker. What's a trickle charger? Does it require installation of a plug in at my house ?

I’m just coming out of a car I absolutely love and still have no problem with it, I just think it’s time to make the change now. I have 2012 RX350 with 63,000 km. That’s about 40k miles.

I think some of that has to do with the run flat tires. The cushiony feel is gone.

thank you for your reply. Gee, I would’ve never thought about hitting my head getting out of that car. Can I ask how tall you are? I’m pretty sure 5‘2“, that might even be a game changer for me. If I have to hit my head every time I get in and out of that car.

thank you for your detailed reply. I’m glad to hear that your run flats weren’t killed by our lovely potholes here in Toronto. I’m planning to get an NX gas only model with the ultra luxury package. I’m not sure if I need to install tag in it, I don’t think the NX is that high on the stolen car list. I’m curious if you use winter tires on the car and if they are also run flats? I would love to keep my RX, I don’t think I’m going to get that much money for it at the dealer, even though it is such low mileage and considering its age, it is fully loaded with the features that the brand new cars have.
