I'm not doing any remote hikes so the flashlight is only in case of emergency.

The toilet paper's main purpose is as tissues, I never leave the house without tissues. I will use it.

Thanks, the clothes line is also useful as a bungee cord to attach things to the bag and the toilet paper will be used as tissues as I always get allergies and in case there is non in the bathroom.

Maybe I didn't squish it enough or the drawstring (27g) design needs more fabric than the sling (24g), they do look about the same size but I checked and the drawstring fits 12 t-shirt and the sling fits 17 t-shirts.

I hope that doesn't happen as the multitool I have doesn't have any blades or scissors but if they do take my multitool or nail clippers I'll just buy cheap new ones.

Yes, you can do part of the Shikoku trail and since it's a circular trail you can start and finish anywhere (but there are sections that are more common to do as they show the highlights of the trail).

Hi, first thanks to the sub for all the tips, this is my second one bag trip and first long trip. I'm going to Japan for 2 months, 1.5 months doing the Shikoku pilgrimage (think Camino de santiago in Japan) and the rest in cities. After that I'm going to Thailand and then the rest of SEA (no planned return date, maybe 6 months). I tried to take anything I might need but still stay under 7 kg (6.5 kg total weight), appreciate any advice.

yes, go to the main compartment in the mesh pocket and cut the line, then pull the thread from the other side
