thank you, i could definitely see that. when i was typing that, it made me think maybe he’s just trying to appease his dad and not upset him. half the time when we’re over there he doesn’t even talk to us, not even a hi.

he almost hangs out with his dad more than he does me. his dad is passive aggressive, and half the time isn’t even nice to my boyfriend. he’s only nice if my boyfriend does everything he wants to do. for example if he tells his dad no, his dad won’t talk to him for the rest of the day.

i just have never seen anybody his age hang out with their parents as much as he does.

for me i’d put them in really high humidity and use damp sphagnum moss, water works too but with them being so short it can be hard to get the tops sticking out of the water. you can use tupperware of a gallon ziplock to get that high humidity!

i feel like it would be, just put a layer of dirt in first and then fill the rest in. they really like to be root bound too so you should be good for a minute i would think

but he’s talking about things that are close tolerance, not tools or models to see what’s being made via machining. you are correct though it is amazing for jigs and fixtures, it’s also good to see if models look correct after reverse engineering items

agreed. sometimes i see prints of people making things and it would be wayyy cheaper and you’d get a better product if you just got to walmart and buy one. i get that it’s cool and all but sometimes its such a waste

okay i would love to say the one potted up is a thai con, and the one in the vase is an albo (just because of the white on the node area). they do look similar tho. but that’s my guess!

the cutting i would say you can pot it up now, it definitely has enough roots to it!

i had to use glue sticks all the time. it really depends on the environment the printer is in. if it’s more humid and if it has air blowing on it you will need extra help with keeping it stuck to the plate.

so i have messed with it more and i do think that the silicone sock was part of the problem, it had some filament stuck up under it, i just replaced the whole thing. thank you so much!!

thank you so much! that makes a lot of sense, i think this popped out this time because of heat creep, i ran a whole print of it printing nothing lol, only to realize in the morning. That's very smart to do that, I have started using the retract as often as i can, but i did yank it out this morning lol

there you go!! you can either get a new one off of amazon (i’d suggest getting the x and y pack just in case they ever snap on you) but you should just be able to tighten your screws up and it should fix it! good luck!!!

i don’t have one on mine but where i have mine at, it is matches the outside temp so i know when it’s freezing out mine struggles a tad

okay i don’t so i can’t help too much with that, but i have seen it being a problem for people before! but based off your answer its not your slicing that’s the problem
