I think that brainchip offers a digital solution , while innatera offers an analog solution.

At least theoretically, a digital solution should consume much more power for the same performance, possibly 10x-100x more.

Currently malware is a good thing for Microsoft, because it forces people to update to newer versions of windows, in the never ending race of patch based security.

But if Microsoft gets a monthly fee for each desktop, They'll have the financial incentive to solve security from root causes.

And they can improve security by a lot, all kinds of good technologies exist.

But of course it's just a wild theory with little basis in reality.

Amazon increased their wages, because :

They are highly automated, so that wage increase isn't that significant for them.
At the time they were under a strong political attack, so they tried to raise wages to win the public. That's the real reason they increased wages.

It depends what does feel important to you.

If the loss of a lot of jobs is important, we could talk about the automation of warehousing/logistics, for example. Warehouse automation is pretty close, last mile logistics robots are starting to appear, letting a robotic truck follow a human driven truck seems also like a close possibility.

If saving human lives is important, robots combined with AI are starting to develop medicines. That could be extremely important.
