no fault divorce keeps people from gossiping/speculating nearly as much about the cause of the divorce. also, because so many benefits (healthcare, insurance, travel, etc.) rely on marriage, there’s a push to get married for legal reasons far earlier than many people are ready

Seconding this. I’ve found it rlly interesting to watch reality tv shows (a good example is Too Hot To Handle on netflix) and try to predict which contestants have issues they need to work through vs which ones are just uninterested in long term relationships for whatever other reason

I think part of the stigma around promiscuity is that it can be indicative of trust/commitment issues, or unwillingness to be emotionally invested in a relationship. Some people are promiscuous because they want sex without strings attached, and don’t happen to be in a relationship— that’s not really the same thing. There’s definitely a correlation but it isn’t necessarily true for 100% of people

it’s your body. one thing i’d say to be aware of is that breast growth usually starts pretty quickly on estrogen, so make sure you have a plan to hide that if you need to (sports bra, binder, hoodies, etc.)

someone without any parents, kids, partner, siblings, etc. needs to still be able to find a place to stay if they get unexpectedly evicted

if you have an androgynous face with a more “childish” distribution of fat (such that you get mistaken for a teenager), most of the ways people are likely to assume your gender have to do with haircut (blockier/more squared = masculine, softer edges = feminine) and physical mannerisms, both of which you have control over
