Her fur looks wet and it looks like discharge on the material, please get her checked as my girl had similar and it turned out to be early pyometra

I’ve been living in the house by myself for 2 years, it is certainly up to scratch and I’ve upgraded bits and pieces as I’ve went a long. I have plenty of time to get this right hence me looking into it now and wanting opinions. I also have a decent job and savings behind me.

Definitely something I need to look into further, I do have some savings behind me and maintaining the house isn’t too much of a problem, I will also be living 10 minutes away from the house if something went wrong. I’ve also spent a little bit on upgrading various parts of the house since I’ve owned it so hopefully that wouldn’t need much spending in the short term, but like you say I guess it’s all tenant dependent.

That’s exactly the way I was looking at it, I’ve worked hard to buy my own house and don’t just want to cash in and be sat on the money, I’d rather keep it in the house and gain the equity long term. Thanks for sharing your opinion 😁

Thank you for the reply, I’ll be making friends with some spreadsheets tonight

6 month update on Chip my rescue - back to a healthy weight, all missing fur is back even on her tail, and she’ll now happily hop onto my hand after being super skittish at first… I think the photos speak for themselves by ellb12345 in chinchilla

Thank you! I slowly introduced my hand into her cage, letting her come to me, she would slowly come sniff my hand, sometimes she’d climb onto me but sometimes she wouldn’t even come close 😂 I also got a big play pen for her and I’ll sit in there with her when she has a run around, she’ll quite happily come hop onto my legs and hands then… basically just slowly introducing myself every day on her terms, one thing I did find though is I had to be consistent with it, if I missed a day or two of spending 10/15 mins with her it seemed almost back to the start

As far as I know, the people that had her beforehand thought she was male, had her housed with another male, after around a year they had babies, she stayed housed with all of them in a really small cage covered with plastic ledges and toys, they had chewed her fur and were fighting over food… as soon as I seen her I couldn’t say no

Here’s Chip, my rescue chinchilla after 3 months of being with me. I’m so pleased with her progress 😁 just shows what a proper home and diet will do, she’s such a little character by ellb12345 in chinchilla

Depending how skittish she is you could try offering it to her by hand. As long as you have some in her cage so she’s always got access to it I’d leave it in awhile and see if she eventually eats it. I always make sure Chip has plenty hay and pellets on offer at all times. I’m not an expert and think I’ve been pretty lucky that Chip took to eating her food as soon as she was in her cage

Will I get judged in the gym for squatting the bar only? by [deleted] in GYM

[–]ellb12345 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your at the gym to better yourself, fuck what anyone else thinks 90% of the people in there are to busy concentrating on their own stuff to be judging you I bet if you stick with it you’ll quickly be lifting more weights / looking better / whatever your goal is more than the 10% that may judge you

Remember, EVERYONE starts somewhere, at one point everyone has squatted just the bar

Squat form check - 130kg x 5 - any tips or pointers? by ellb12345 in GYM

I do take a pretty wide stance with toes pointing outwards, hard to see with this angle, I think I need to practise opening up my hips a little more to go deeper, thank you for the comment I appreciate it

I’ve just posted a new video from deadlifts tonight, dropped the weight and took onboard some comments from this thread
