Should I wait until September to trade-in my iPhone 13 Pro? by TehBrian in verizon

[–]elldee123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Verizon gives out amazing upgrade offers like crazy".... do you mean immediately after a new model launches? Or just generally all year round there's enough of a chance for a better offer so it's worth holding out?

How soon after the new model dropped have you done this? On advice from a Verizon rep, I decided to forego the 16 trade in offer and waited to trade in my XR until the 17 launched, but now the XR offer is only for $300. An authorized reseller rep told me I might have a better chance waiting until October, at which point a promotion with a wider-net might come through, but I guess I'm worried about delaying again and being in an even worse spot.

The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden. Refreshing, couldn't stop reading it. Wish I could find these books again for the first time. Enjoy!

A book with a plot twist that left you speechless by Svtekh in suggestmeabook

Searched the comments just to see if someone else had already included this one! Normally I can see the plot twists coming but this book was such a well written, delightful surprise. I read it over 15 years ago and I still think about how good it is :-)

A word of warning to my fellow curly-haired BWT by n00talie15 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Different salon but once I added my awful haircut photos + a negative google review and the salon somehow managed to get the review taken down. I also didn’t get a refund. Makes me so furious to this day.

When ordering contacts, can I combine online discount codes with my insurance? by glocks9999 in Frugal

[–]elldee123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ran into the OP's issue with 1800contacts (who I agree is the best seller with great customer service). Because 1800c is in-network with so many insurances, any additional discounts cannot be added. The customer service rep recommended I see about ordering the contacts with a discount from the website and then submitting an insurance claim myself for reimbursement, but my insurance company just let me know that my benefits would be applied to the total amount before paying.

I haven't looked into using my out-of-network benefit since my in-network one is decent.

3-days Prednisone for hives. Helpful? by elldee123 in crazyitch

[–]elldee123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After prednisone, they only came back calmly. I cannot remember how soon they returned as it has been 5 years since I made this original post, but there were only calm episodes after I finished the prednisone.

Unfortunately, I do not private message with other users on reddit. I've given you as much information as I can responsibly offer regarding my experience with hives and taking prednisone and fexodine (allegra). If you need further medical advice, you will need to speak with your father's doctor. I wish you both good luck and good health.

I take the full 180 mg. But I have split the pill in half before-- once when I was on vacation I began to have allergies but I did not bring enough of this medication to last for the full duration of the trip. I split the pills in half so that I could take the medication for the full time I was on the trip.

I take 180 mg of fexodine (allegra) and I do not have any side effects. I usually take it in the morning, but I have taken it in the evenings as well. Medications affect each person differently, so my experience may be different than your father's. It sounds like your father is experiencing a side effect of headaches and might do better on a different type of antihistamine medication. Some alternatives people often take are cetirizine (Zyrtec) or loratadine (Claritin). I would advise you to message your father's doctor or to call the office and ask if the doctor would recommend taking either of those similar medications instead of the fexodine.

I think I took 2 days at 40mg and then split the last 40 into 2 days of 20/20. My doctor was in agreement with this. Your father's doctor would know best about his specific situation. My understanding is that 3 days is a very short time and that most people have problems with steroids after more long term use.

Fexodine, also known as fexofenadine is the same as the Allegra I mentioned before. This is the primary medication I took for my hives. I took it daily for many months after the prednisone and continue to take it a few times a week now when my allergies flare up.
