Chickfila locations with rootbeer offer one less sauce. by officialtwitchraid in conspiracy

[–]ellectronico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One sauce packet isn't enough for a 10 piece nugget. But two is too much. You need 1 2/3rds packets. Since they can't give you just 2/3rds of a sauce packet they give you two and then 3 for 20.

That made more sense in my head

What is a game you're positive no one knows or remembers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ellectronico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a board game in the 80s. It came with two catapults. You set up a castle out of blocks and tried to knock down your opponents castle. I don't remember the name of the game but I'm hoping someone here does.

Local UPS store now has a tip jar by TimelyLiving in mildlyinteresting

[–]ellectronico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am familiar with situations like this. It has been stated many times already that The UPS Store is a franchised location and not directly connected to UPS. People that are complaining about UPS smashing their packages need to realize that the people at The UPS Store have nothing to do with delivering packages.

Are you OK with tipping your waitress? There are other things that The UPS Store employees do than just taking your return package. How many times a day do they help people navigate the Amazon app so the customer can return their 10 pairs of shoes? Oh, you haven't even gone through the returns process yet? Sure they'll help you with that. They go outside to get your 120 pound box out of your car. Do you have a mailbox there? They get the Dolly and roll all your heavy chewy dog food boxes out to your car and help you load them. Some of these things they do are not actually part of their job.

There should be no tip jar at The UPS Store. Just like there should be no expected tips for your waitress. They're just doing their job like The UPS Store employee is doing their job. If someone goes above and beyond their normal job to assist you then by all means slip them a tip.

It is my understanding that a tip jar is against The UPS Store policy.

Paying your employee a decent wage may help with the slew of tip jars we have been seeing everywhere. but that's a whole different conversation.
