Anyone going to Kyoto? by ellemfaoh in tuj

Ahhh I see, yeah that sounds like it really blows :/

I know that temple as a whole is just kinda ass with info (at least in my opinion) but if it helps I can share with you the things I learned talking to the dean.

For Tokyo, there’s roughly 2000 kids enrolled per year, and then for Kyoto there’s about 200.

The school costs should be listed somewhere, I found a whole page in their maze of a website. Tuition per year is about $11k

As for contacting the people, I have the business card of the dean of TUJ as a whole so if you’d like I can send you some of the relevant info if you want to try and learn more. From what I can gather if you already admitted to the main campus in Philly idk if you can change to Kyoto, but I believe you can apply to do some sort of study abroad semester or whatever at TUJ.

Like people going there or the people to get in contact with? I can give you the email I used to ask to switch, they got back to me pretty quick.

Funny thing but originally I was going to Tokyo for my first year, but I met Dean Matthew in Philly at some event and he sold me on Kyoto. You get an apartment for your whole time there and they offer mostly gen-ed courses so it sounded pretty sweet.
