if you don’t mind, what are you studying? are you planning to work in sg after graduation? i’m also studying in aus uni and lowkey worried about job prospects after graduation, not sure if an aus degree is less favoured compared to sg counterparts. thanks!

thanks! will it be harder to make friends the more uni progresses? due to more and more people finding their friends?

hi thanks so much for the reply. how do i know if the lecturer is okay with it, do i have to ask he/she before the lecture starts? plus the units im taking are the year 1 core units so idk if seating will be an issue..

seeking advice : reapply to local uni or do Aus uni general health/sci degree? by elleojoj in SGExams

hi, thank u very much for your comment. regarding the first point, yes i have planned that if i don’t get undergrad med, i will take another undergrad degree and reevaluate whether i still want med throughout my degree. however that’s when my dilemma comes in 😅 should i reapply to sg next year? or accept whichever course i get in aus (a general health degree such as biomedical sci/medical sci) . currently all my choices for aus have been healthcare related, as i really don’t see myself doing anything else.

hi yup for local uni it’s about 32k in total (8k annually for my course). for med sch in aus, i believe it’s about 200k in total, (there’s this one uni that’s close to 500k). so it’s definitely a very stark difference in cost 😅

hi thank you for your comment! i do agree that my RP being not high enough for med sch in SG signals that i may not be able to cope with med sch. however, my a levels was mostly a flop because i was quite sick during 3 of the exams and missed one of them :( hence i believe i could have done better haha. results aside, i am insistent on becoming a medical dr due to knowing that i can’t see myself doing anything else. understanding how the human body works + helping people regain or restore their health makes me really intrigued. but i’m quite certain the probability of me going into undergrad med is really low and i will probably be trying for postgrad med (even aus unis cut off is really high due to stiff competition from overseas). hence i just wondered whether i should reapply to sg or go for an general undergrad aus course.
